Would I be right to think that this adjustable spoiler was only produced by Honda for R&D purposes to deliver the best angle for the fixed spoiler? I ask this as the NSX is considered by many to be one of the best balanced cars, so surely obtaining the right angle for the spoiler would maintain the F to R balance of the non NSX-R model as well as inproving the new aero package?
You are right about that.
As I know from an japanese R&D engineer, the R spoiler is still a 'high speed' spoiler.
The standard version provides downforce, but not as much as the adjustable prototype version can offer. (option for 64 different settings)
Thats spoiler is not everyones taste, but efficient for the track use.
I heard that some of the NSX'ers do that :biggrin:
