Here's what I got from my dealer contact today:

"2017 Acura NSX will have an MSRP of $156,000 in the U.S. and will top out at $205,700 when equipped with all available factory features and options. Destination and handling for the 2017 Acura NSX will be $1,800."

Honda said:
  • 2017 Acura NSX U.S. MSRP set at $156,000
  • First 2017 NSX to be auctioned for charity at Barrett-Jackson in January
  • Online configurator and customer order taking to begin Feb. 25
Acura today announced additional launch details for the next-generation 2017 Acura NSX supercar, coming to market next spring, including pricing and the order taking process. Acura also revealed plans to auction off the very first serial production NSX, VIN 001, at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. the last week of January 2016. All proceeds from the auction sale will go to a pair of children's charities: the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Camp Southern Ground, the passion project of Grammy Award-winning artist Zac Brown.
Designed, developed and manufactured in America, the 2017 Acura NSX will have a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)1 of $156,000 in the U.S. and will top out at $205,700 when equipped with all available factory features and options1. As Acura’s first build-to-order vehicle, customers will be able to design their NSX by selecting one of eight rich exterior colors and four interior color schemes available in three different seating surface options. Customers can further customize their NSX through several exterior and interior features including three wheel designs with painted or polished finish, carbon-ceramic brake options, a carbon fiber interior sport package, carbon fiber roof, and more.
"The NSX is the pinnacle expression of Acura precision crafted performance and we're thrilled to take the next step toward bringing it to market," said Jon Ikeda, vice president and general manager of the Acura Division. "We're creating new space within the supercar realm, pushing the envelope beyond the conventional thinking about supercars – just like the original NSX."
Customer order taking for the new NSX will begin on Feb. 25, 2016 at authorized NSX retailers, in concert with the launch of a vehicle configurator on Acura.com. The configurator will be the first engagement point for customers interested in exploring the process of ordering a vehicle from an authorized NSX retailer and enthusiasts who want to configure their dream NSX. Once customers have customized their vehicle online, they can schedule an appointment with an authorized NSX retailer to finalize the order.
The 2017 NSX will be the first all-new Acura vehicle to be auctioned for the benefit of charitable organizations – certified to be the very first serial production NSX. The winner will be able to customize their NSX to their choosing.
"The very first production NSX will be such a special and historic vehicle, so we wanted to make sure we treat the sale of it in an equally special way," said Ikeda. "It will be available for purchase by anyone – anyone that is, who submits the highest bid for VIN number 001 at the world famous Barrett-Jackson auction. And we're pleased to be able to support two incredible children's charities, Camp Southern Ground and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, with the NSX."

I hope they let you cut the line at service time:wink:

And for those Canadians who are considering one, the NSX starts at $189,900. Not quite as bad as I feared, but higher than I hoped.

Will have to do a bit of soul searching between now and February.

As for what the options would be available, my guesses:

carbon ceramic rotors: $10,000
optional wheels: $10,000
optional tires: $4,000
carbon fiber roof: $4,000
technology pack: $5,000
optional colors: $2500
carbon fiber interior: $5,000
carbon fiber engine covers: $2000

Is the MSRP from the dealership?
With your listed options it's up to $232K
With GST/PST of 15 % plus dealer prep/shipping of say $2K that's about $270K on the road.
The base model looks like $222K on the road.

There are so many better options in that price range in my opinion.
For what it is offering, the new NSX is just late.

After viewing the reviews that are out I, myself, me, would personally flush the money somewhere else.

The price is from the Acura website:

The price of the options are just guesses. And there are probably other options available.

If I'm not mistaken, the Canadian MSRP for a 2005 NSX-T was 142,000$.

189,900$ doesn't sound out of line.

I agree, it could have been worse, especially since the Canadian dollar has dropped so much. A straight conversion of $156k would be $215k Canadian. Still, it would have been better if it was under $180k. One can always dream.

Acura said that this NSX will have more customizeable options than any car on the road today.

The price is bad. End result is $200k after taxes and necessary options. You know you going to have to take things like LCD screen, sound system, etc... Add tax, there's no way you're walking out under $200k from the dealer when all said and done.

MSRP and beyond (Price gouging)And here is insult to the injury (excessive pricing)

Thank you for your response, finally addressing the purchase price, although not at MSRP. I assumed (hopefully correctly) that on my original order request, and deposit made, that our transaction will be MSRP, and not a “market adjustment” price.

I assume than when a person orders a new car from you, it would be at MSRP, or slightly discounted. If your dealership has a different policy, kindly give me specific examples of your “price adjustments.”

Although I am an attorney, I would not like to exercise my legal rights to obtain a MSRP transaction.

Kindly review this email, and let me have hopefully a favorable response as to MSRP.

Bruce you are the number 1 custom for the right to purchase an NSX. The price you will be able to purchase the NSX will be dictated by the market. We will be pricing the vehicle based on the market and the other Acura dealers.

apparently they will be made upon orders.
hope at least they tour a demo car for dealers to use for the price they are asking

I must have missed an earlier post you made as I'm confused
Are you quoting from an email you wrote to a dealer about the pricing of your wait list order?

When you put down your deposit I presume you got an agreement for sale from the dealer?
May I also assume in the price section it was shown as TBA?
And now the dealer is not committing to MSRP, instead saying market price at time of shipment?

I need to located my paperwork. deposit made over 10 years ago, in anticipation. I thought is said msrp. I will verify/. Dealer wants a market value adjustment, so I can be his first purchaser to overpay.
