last night i was talking to one of a wholesale dealers here in sacramento ca where they buy a and sell cars in the auction he said to me is that he could get me a 91 nsx 5 speed for about $19000 with around 70k miles on it disadvantafges are is that it is going to be from aauction i will not get a good chance to test drive it nor check out a complete detail on how the car is ..

PLease let me know what to look out for in a 91 thanx..

That sounds incredibly low to me.That car or any car in that price range with a clean title (non salvage) would be a heck of a buy. My family has been in the car business for 25 years, and when I was looking for my car there was no such a thing as a clean title NSX under 25k. Not saying that you are wrong, but if it sounds too good to be true sometimes it is

Jason i confirmed that with the dealer he stated "clean title" so i guess he could get one for that much the only question is that he has to keep his eyes open this BAD AZZ car does not come every day in the auction it has to be my luck day when it comes..

what do illook for in a 91 that could give me problems..

how much a salvage costs
thanx MACK

It can still be possible that the title has been tagged with a salvage or rebuild status and isn't noted on the present title. It is very easy to "clean" a title and by doing a title search with Carfax can reveal the cars history. Also, doing a service history check with Acura can help to verify mileage.

I would be very suspicious about a car undervalued like the NSX that you mentioned.

Well I have a few people looking at Auctions for me and I have seen some for that price YET they do have blemishes and some problems associated with high miles and abuse.

what U should do is look for the Snap Ring failure, visual inspection.. i.e. if they clean it up REALLY clean then there is something wrong. Most auctions places only sell cars with CLEAN titles or if it is a decent one they will do an inspection of the vehcile before putting it on the market.

are U in sacramento also? FYI I wouldnt get one here in sac.. My contacts are all in the east coast.. Prices of the NSX are lower yet hard to come by over there. Let me know if you need any input.. I have been looking for the past 5 months for one.
