Hi

My plan is to use a Compaq Ipaq and this and then run TomTom Navigator on the Ipaq.

I would like to have the Ipaq in the glove compartment and take it out when I need it. (here in Narvik we have only two streets so not a problem here, but I usually get lost around Cologne :) )

I need power for the Ipaq inside the glove compartment. Has anybody done that before? I would think so. Where to get power and where to lay the GPS modul and the cords? The GPS modul probably need to be near the window in the front somewhere.

I would be gratefull for any suggestions and advice. I would like to hide the whole installation as good as I can.

I think I should be able to close the glove compartment with the cord coming out.

Regards

Right under/behind the glove box is the feed for the keyless entry receiver. That would be a convenient place to tap in for power. Other wise you can go to the dash fuse box, left side of the drivers foot well, it has I think 3 places to connect to get power. One is on all the time, one is on in run or acc and the other is on when the lights are on.
