As we stood there a family with a kid came by.

He looked on my Silver more than on the Gheba's black..strange.

Me and Gheba discussed it but could not find out why.. We should have asked the little boy why

Then after lunch and dinner in Switzerland we drove north to Nurburgring.

I changed oil and filter before going to the Ring here at RingRacing.

Really nice guy. We had a long talk about the Ring and also the NSX. It was the first NSX he had ever touched.

Here is a picture of the fastest truckdriver I have ever seen.

We where driving from the Ring down to Adenau when this truck came up from behind. He even had a trailer at the back. I could not drive as fast as him on those roads and had to let him pass..

I have to use a lot of sessions at my "shrink" to get over this :)

My friend joked that I can not even drive faster then the local plummer..but I found out who this guy was. He picks up all the bikes which crash around the ring. So he drives around the ring with the truck all day every day. So he knows how much he can push it and ofcourse knows the roads.. We laughed a lot about this.

This was a thursday so it was very quite at the Ring.

It was closed during the day for "touristfahren" so the carpark was empty early on the day

We where supposed to stay at the ring until sunday but after about 7-8 passangerlaps with a couple of expirienced Ringdrivers we started to drive home to Norway.

I did 3 laps in the NSX on Nurburgring. One lap with my friend (he will never do that again with me :) Then one lap alone. And one lap with instructor. The last lap was really fun. He told me everything..when to brake. Where to be before the turn. And when to turn.

The most exciting was to be a passanger in a Renault Clio Sport with a guy named Ed. He drove like I have never seen before. We did about 8.30 laps with his Renault. It was crazy.

Here is a picture taken from the hotelroom at Puttgarden on our way home. It looked nice down there on the parkinglot so I had to take a photo.. The previous night we did 275 km/h in the NSX on the Autobahn. But the batteries was dead in my camera..but that was pretty fast in the dark :)

Then back to Oslo where I stayed for a couple of days.

Then I started to drive home to Narvik. I drove to Trondheim first where I stayed with a friend of mine. He has a Acura RSX with a Veilside kit on it..

A little too much for me..but a nice car. Need some work and it will be very nice

But I had rain for the last 900km..that was bad. But the last 100km was dry and it was on roads I know very well. So that was really fun.

The Bridgestone S03's I had one worked really good. But I had a few aquaplans (spelling?) and one powerslide when overtaking a truck. Other than that it went well. The grip was good. But I had to look out for pods of water on the road..

The NSX looks good everywhere :)

This is at the Artic Circle about 450km from home..

Then I got home. Took a shower. Had something to eat and then went to bed. And slept for a long long time. The vacation above was done in less then 2.5 weeks. We was up at 0700 and even before that every morning so it has been hard. I will have to check but I think I did about 7000km during those 2.5 weeks.

NSX was good all the time. Had to take out the main fuse one time becasue the lambdasond was acting funny after I parked in the wet grass at Assen. Other then that it worked like a charm..

Had a lot of people coming over to talk about the car..very nice.

Now I will sort some more pictures and put them up on my website. I have also about 2 hours of film from the vacation. I will get bits and pieces of the film uploaded too..

I hope you all enjoyed this little trip with me.

That was quite enjoyable. Thanks, I really appreciate you taking the time to share that with us. I was trying to pictures your whole vacation in my head. Very good descriptions.

Man, two and a half week vacation? Thats awesome. I wish I can take that. We can never get away longer then 1 week. If I can, i would drive down to cali with my nsx.

Anyway, thanx again,
Take care,

Mr.Martin, twenty-three consecutive posts. Congratulations on a new NSXPRIME record. :D

There is insufficient room for a body, had you disposed of it by this stage of the trip? :D Would you like me to post some pictures of my trunk? :D

Martin, thanks for posting this online diary... I REALLY enjoyed this. Lots of great photos and funny stories. I feel like i've had a mini-vacation myself! :D

I especially loved your "tubi talk" with gheba.... ;) LOL... are you SURE that's gheba's NSX -- don't recognize it without the snow-chains on the tyres. ;) Hope you post some high-res photos of your car with his... black and silver compliment each other nicely.

Thanks martin, this is a great post.

Mr. Wolf

Yes this was a vacation so no killing and no disposals of bodies :)

That is the point of vacation you know...do something else than what you do everyday :)

I would like to see a picture of your trunk..Do you only have contracts on killing dwarfs. How can you fit anything bigger in the trunk of the NSX? :)

Regards

Hi

It was nice meeting the two of you too :)

I will post hi-res pictures of the whole trip with more pictures. The above is the "best" I think. Will post link here when I have them online.

I have no video of the ring. There is a video ban on the track, but I have some from the parkinglot. Some of a a Merc McLaren. The sound was just fantastic.

Neo I read that you now finally had a testdrive in a NSX..so now you know why we all are so excited :)

Glad that you all liked the pictures. We had a great time. Now what to do next year? :)

Regards
