well, we had just gotten on the freeway towards vegas from baker and the guy ahead of me (here on prime, but in a Legend, can't remember his name) slowed down and got over, so I thought he was going to let me pass. As soon as I started to pass he rolled down his window and pointed back and yelled "cop". I knew I didn't have plates on the car (long story), so I thought I might try and get way ahead of everybody in hopes that he would pull over somebody else (not in our group) before he saw me. When I started to pull away EVERYBODY flashed their lights at me, so I slowed back down... about 2 min later here comes "5 oh" in the truck lane (far right). We were in the slow lane, ALL of us doing 65 at the time. He pulled up next to me, I looked over and nodded, he pulled ahead, then pulled back, then pulled up again and got on his horn and asked "Is that a new Ferrari?" , I shook my head, then he signaled for me to pull over. He was actually VERY cool about it all. He said first of all, we stuck out like a sore thumb because we were in such a large group. Second, I stuck out in the group because my "Ferrari" was bright blue, and third, I stuck out even more with no plates. So he said I was asking to get pulled over. I explained everything, and he said he was just checking cause they get alot of stolen cars through there, we chit-chatted a little bit, then he sent me on my way without even so much as running my license. It also helped that I still have my wallet from when I was a cop, so when he asked for my insurance, I had to retrieve it from under my "flat-badge"
Wow, good thing no ticket. I was the last of the group to get on the freeway (in a Legend). As soon as I got on, the cop got on and blew by me. I called ahead to the Legends, and hope they were able to get the message out to everyone. We were afraid that you may not have gotten the message. I wasn't sure if you guy had NSX Club Radios or not (I had mine).
That said, I didn't get to meet much of the SoCal and Vegas NSX group, since I was with the Legend group this time. Hope to meet you guys sometime at an NSX event.
