Well, instead of a GTG it ended up being just a few guys hanging out who have the same car  . I think we had a total of 4 NSX's there (REPRESENT!.. woop woop!), one of which turned around and headed home before the meet. Nonetheless, it was still cool meeting a few fellow primers...

The meet before the meet before the meet...

awsomr1 and I met close to home with one of the SoCal Legend's guy's...

On our way to the meet before the meet. This is the last I saw of awsomr1! He got on the freeway like a bat out of hell!!! Little did I know he was trying to catch up to the OC guys who had just gone past on the freeway...

We got to the meet before the meet (In-N-Out in Hesperia), but there was hardly room to park so there weren't really any photo ops, so here's us leaving for the meet...

Stuntman passing by...

This was kinda cool, cause I was just trying to get a pic of them together, but didn't see the sign in the background. We were on our way to the meet in Baker (at the world's largest thermometer), then on our way to Vegas...

FuryNSX leading the pack (the moron in the maroon Jag kept on weaving in and out of traffic, but wasn't getting anywhere cause we passed him a couple times...)

Thought this was funny. Their mirrors stuck out into both lanes, and they were going like 40mph...

The meet in Baker. We hooked up with about 10 other Legend guys...

This is the last I saw of anyone until we got to Vegas. I got pulled over. No ticket...

ShiftyBob,

I like those license plates. I may need to change mine. :) Now, if only CA DMV would switch to 8 letters and it would be done deal. :D

Good to hear you didn't get a ticket. Next time we run into each other, I'd like to hear how the stop went down. I guess he didn't keep you too long, otherwise you must have been going pretty brisk to catch up to us. Hope your quick stay in LV turned out to be "prosperous". :D

Well, last minute work schedule kept me from going to LV for the GTG, but at least I had fun cruising up to Hesperia with Shiftybob and meet up with couple of other at the In-n-Out.

Randy, can't wait till you start posting pics from LV.

And shifty, what did you got pull over for?

well, we had just gotten on the freeway towards vegas from baker and the guy ahead of me (here on prime, but in a Legend, can't remember his name) slowed down and got over, so I thought he was going to let me pass. As soon as I started to pass he rolled down his window and pointed back and yelled "cop". I knew I didn't have plates on the car (long story), so I thought I might try and get way ahead of everybody in hopes that he would pull over somebody else (not in our group) before he saw me. When I started to pull away EVERYBODY flashed their lights at me, so I slowed back down... about 2 min later here comes "5 oh" in the truck lane (far right). We were in the slow lane, ALL of us doing 65 at the time. He pulled up next to me, I looked over and nodded, he pulled ahead, then pulled back, then pulled up again and got on his horn and asked "Is that a new Ferrari?" , I shook my head, then he signaled for me to pull over. He was actually VERY cool about it all. He said first of all, we stuck out like a sore thumb because we were in such a large group. Second, I stuck out in the group because my "Ferrari" was bright blue, and third, I stuck out even more with no plates. So he said I was asking to get pulled over. I explained everything, and he said he was just checking cause they get alot of stolen cars through there, we chit-chatted a little bit, then he sent me on my way without even so much as running my license. It also helped that I still have my wallet from when I was a cop, so when he asked for my insurance, I had to retrieve it from under my "flat-badge"

Today's events during the SoCal/LV NSX Meet included lunch at Lucilles BBQ, a very "memorable" Mt. Charleston drive, photo opportunities at Falconi Acura, and a nice dinner at Buffet Asia. Tomorrow's highlights should include a trip through the Strip. Hopefully, traffic won't be too heavy. :D

I don't have my normal computer right now, so I haven't been able to fully edit and compile all my pics yet. In the meantime, I've loaded a few to a different host, so here's a nice sneak preview of the pics to come.

Acura-Legend.com guys wait by the side for us...

We pull over to the side of the road to get our roofs back on. It's getting cold and some of us are a bunch of SoCal wimps when it comes to this weather.

Okay, I'm all about toughing it out when it gets to 50 degrees, but I call it quits when it's begins to snow on our NSXs. SNOW?!! It's freakin' May!!! :D

We come down from the snow and rework the plans for our drive.

photos look stellar randy.... those cloudscapes look freaking awesome as a backdrop!

Great Pics, thanks for posting.

The Silver NSX with the Volk Racing Formula Zero (Is that the name?) was yummy. That is the first time I seen those rims on the NSX.

Any more pics of that NSX?

Just wanted to thank everyone from Vegas for attending and of course some of the cali guys who went.

Much thanks to Danny and Chris for being the leaders and putting it together.

I had a blast this weekend even though I am burned out.

Just to put a recap on this weekend....

I got to meet some great NSX guys from LV at Lucille's, go drive to Mt. Charleston in snow  , watch Brians FX500 handle a cobra mustang  , rode in Danny's insane nsx twin turbo jet , go to LV Acura with the Legend guys, then eat some good asian buffet, bet $100 on de la hoya and lose it , then have Mei be my tour guide to the night life at the strip (woo hoo we almost got into a club called Pure....nothing like waiting outside a club for an hour or so and not getting in ) haha just teasing mei ;), went bar hopping and finally a club we got into to hangout at, left at 9:30am got back home around 3pm and knocked out from having 7 hours sleep this whole weekend.

All in all it was a pleasure to meet everyone and also to see some of the cali guys go. It was a memorable weekend for sure.

Forgive me if I cannot remember everyone but I had a great time and I look forward to seeing everyone again.

Now lets see some more pics and videos.

Eddie

My wife and I both had an AMAZING weekend. Everything was so organized and we had such fun meeting all of you. It was a blast.

And for the record, Dannie's dyno graph is very DECEVING because that car has GREAT power off boost. I was expecting the car to have a very harsh power delivery but its not like that at all. Simply Amazing.

Thanks all for the conversation, driving, and a wonderful weekend.

Hey All,
Thanks for a great weekend...we just got back to Salt lake City from Vegas and had a blast! Thanks to all of you for a great time and hospitality. Hopefully we can make it down there again soon. If any of you are up this way drop us a line!

Dan and Chrystal

p.s. - thanks Danny, all she talked about on the way home was what color of NSX she wants and the list of mods!

Good Gawd Randy, those shots are amazing. Not only are the quality of the pictures simply stunning but the artistic shots are genius. Great job. I nominate you as the official NSX club historian.

Great meeting everyone. Sorry I couldn't make it out to the Sunday roll. But it was really nice meeting everyone, especially those that made it up from Cali.

Eddie, nice to finally meet you. I was beat this weekend but next time you come up, I'll make sure to make out later and show you a great Vegas experience.

JR it was great talking to you. I was hoping we could have talked more FI, but you'll have to make it down again so we can finish up our discussion.

Hotwls great meeting you and your wife. Hope you made out well at the slots and took up Texas hold em as I suggested.

And to the rest of you Vegas folks, really great seeing you guys again (and you Virgil for the first time). Had such a blast, I'm already making it a mission to talk to the Findley Acura guys for our next June meet.

Pics.... please post your pics!!

Great pics, guys!

Thanks, all for a great time! The snow was a surprise indeed. :D

Thanks for putting up with the sole four-door ....ahem.... NSX ;) most of the way through.

This event certainly calls for a repeat. :D

Wow, don't know where to start. I've been to many NSX related events since 1994 and this weekend was the very best by far. We have a great core group of NSX enthusiasts in Las Vegas who truly love our cars and greatly enjoy and appreciate each others company...I love you man! (which beer commercial was that?). Add to that fellow NSX enthusiasts and their significant others from Cali and Utah, plus equally enthusiastic Legend owners from all around, and we had a memorable, memorable time. Thanks to all who helped make this weekend happen!

J.R. and Cami (flexer), Dan and Chrystal (HotWls): glad you all made it back home safely. Hopefully the snow on Charleston is the last you see until winter! J.R., drop the car stuff and spend all your time on your gal. Dan, are you carazy??#!$). I can only dream of my wife wanting an NSX and coming to our meets. I will personally help Crystal amp up her NSX when the time comes! (psst! midnight pearl...)

Graeme and Trisha (CDX_NSX) Thanks for serving as our Legend liason. Let's get together next time we're down in SoCal.

Randy (FURYNSX): You are no longer a member of ANY OTHER NSX club except ours! Great having another old school import car buff to car tallk with.

Joe (Heliojoe) and Virgil: welcome aboard!

Mike: Thanks for hosting us at your shop this morning. See you at our next meet.

Eddy (Ediddynsx): How many Red Bulls did you go through this weekend? Next time you come to Vegas, you're staying with me. 3 meals and at least 8 hours of sleep is a house rule! Don't know how you do it. Can't wait to see your car when the turbo goes in...I better get my down pipes done by them just to stay ahead.

Well, after this weekend, I am COMPLETELY tired. Phew. So much driving. So much eating. So much chatting. And such extreme weather changes. After a mild snowfall yesterday, I think I got toasted out there today in that LV sunshine. :D

A big "Thank you!!" to all of you in the Las Vegas group for a fun filled weekend. I had an enjoyable time, and I look forward to meeting up with you guys again. :)

I'll be rolling out of this city tomorrow (Monday) morning, so once again, here's a sneak peek at more pics until I'm able to fully upload all my other pics to my normal host.
