PICs from the NSX Group Tour of the SALEEN Factory

Had loads of fun at Tour of the Saleen Factory. Steve Riter put together and awesome event. The beauty of the S7 just can't possibly be described. The car really has to been seen in person to be appreciated. Pics don't do it justice. Hardware at the facility was totally top notch. I actually thought for a brief moment about owning a Ford. :p Eats were arranged at a nearby Dave & Busters while dining entertainment was provided by an Option DVD on NSXs and other VTEC stories.

Thanks again Steve.

Saleen S7. That is one hell of a supercar. Actually I thought NSX shape would evolve into that.

Thanks for all the photos Randy. I'd be ashamed to post mine ;) You have both the talent and equipment. Appreciate seeing the detail on the S7, those are unreal brakes. Not sure I'd be happy about 25K for replacement carbon pads :D

Yeh I saw the S7 in real life a few months ago. It is absolutely stunning--the pics don't really show how freaking long this car is--it's a boat! Probably the widest, lowest, and longest car I have ever seen. Definately the first car I am buying after I graduate.
Considering how many looks the NSX gets, I am sure the S7 will stop traffic if not cause accidents. Beautiful...simply beautiful.

Nice pics... I notice there were a lot of 02+ NSX at the event.

Do you have the high resolution version of the first pic of the silver S7 by any chance? :D

Hey, wasn't the S7 supposed to be...

...the "McLaren Beater"? Not to step on toes, and don't get me wrong - the S7 is as good of a car made in the US - but wasn't the hype of this car "once it gets sorted, it'll beat the McLaren"? All the mags told me so. It's had success racing but gearbox reliability has really hurt it. Now with the Ford GT coming out for $100k less, how are they ever going to sell one? I kind of get that feeling it'll turn into to the next Jaguar XJ220.

More toes to step on, but I and my brothers have seen the Saltine Mustangs at track events and shows for years and never understood who the heck would buy one? If you want a really expensive Mustang, buy a Vette. Everything about the C5/C6 is better than any modern Mustang (2005 not withstanding - that car is awesome).

Man am I in a mood or what!

Cool pics by the way!

We were told Saleen did the design and prototype for the GT for Ford FYI

That pic of the S7 is breathtaking!!

You have a great eye!

Don't mean to be rude, BUT, you do realize that is lists for $400k. I don't know too many college graduates that can afford that.

Yup, I knew all about the GT proto work from Saleen - that's why I wonder about the future of the S7. Given both cars side by side, which would you buy?

Given a choice of owning either, and price not being an issue, I would cosider buying a S7 before a Ford GT anyday.

The exterior looks of the GT don't appeal to me, neither does the interior nor the seats, etc. Way too retro and overdone. But I would not consider purchasing either since their prices are a bit too high for comfort, unless the bubble makes a comeback :D, LOL.
