This is the High Build Filler Primer on the left "Regular" Sandable Primer on right.

My gosh Ken - do you have DIY's with pictures on everything??!!

Thanks for the advice guys on the filler primer gona get working on it today. Ill will post results.

Does anyone know where to get the stick on "carbon fiber looking" pieces for a 93 center consol? Thanks.

Although the "partial peel; filler; sand; paint" approach might initially seem like the least work, I think you're leaving yourself exposed to future bubbling on the areas you didn't peel (especially if you live in hot climates) .. and you might end up doing it all over again. Just a thought for your consideration.

I too tried the peel off technique...it went on for ever it seems. For the value of my time, I've decided to instead just buy the three pieces (OUCH$$$$$)

I've got the old ones ($70 each) if someone is interested.

Here are the latest pics on my recent project prepping my trim pieces for paint. Next step will be my body shop to paint to match the berlina black.

IMO I dont think that the metal coating will come out that easy it is on there really good and its just like metal , Imagine using a stripper on a car paint job you get down to the bare metal and thats all. I thought about heating it up with a heat gun but didnt get around to trying it....

Actually, I tried the heat gun routine to see if I could flatten it down (on the assumption that heat had originally bubbled it) but no luck

Did the heat gun help you remove it easier?

UPDATE....

This is what it looks like after I completed with the prep work and painted with OEM Berlina Black
