Hi all, Sockeye and Polar had threw out a little plan on getting together and meet our famous Side Skirt guy: Stacy'snsx and possibly some B.C. members.

Here's what we gather so far.
I'm in. I just ordered the tires so I can make it.

UPDATE 10/12/05: The Drive will be on October 16, Sunday.

Where: We will gather together at the Smokey Point rest area, mile post 207
(right after Exit 206)
When: 8:15am.
We will be leaving at 8:45am sharp. I will get hold of Sockeye in the morning and decide where to join him.

We should be at the border somewhere around 11am. **WE are taking the truck border.**
I will make a call to Stacy and we should arrive the ABC Family restaurant in 20 minutes or so.

19219 Highway 10 (Highway 10 and 192nd)
Langley, BC
V3S 8V9
Tel: (604) 576-7770

Here is the direction from Stacy:
Go north on 176th Avenue to Cloverdale and Highway 10
Turn east on Highway 10 (56 Ave.) toward Langley
Watch for the restaurant on the north-east corner of Highway 10 and 192nd Street.

We will meet Stacy and have brunch over there and then we will stop by his shop and decided what we are going to do next.

A. Indoor Go Kart
B. Cypress mountain
C. Stanley Park.
D. All of the above.

The group drive will happen rain or shine.

1. Sockeye
2. Stacy'snsx

5. Kp_VtekNiks
6. nsxdreamer2
7. Freelance201
8. Kclements
9. 97widebody
10. nsx-D
So far we had 8 nsx'es confirmed.

kane?
drvolkl?
optikal?

Just a reminder for everyone, if you are US Citizens, you still need a valid passport to go through custom. The old trick of showing WA driver's license will not work.

I'm usually hit or miss on these things. I'll know more next week, but either day should be open for me.
Sounds like fun...

Kane, this will be the first get together with the locals for you, right?

it will be nice to meet you finally.

I believed we met but it was many years ago at R-Sports.

Anyway, Saturday or Sunday for you??

Stacy

1.Visiting Stacy's shop and his products :)
2.I'm pretty sure a lunch, a dinner(optional) is a must.
3.WE definately want to drive around some scenic roads up in B.C.
4. Crusing in Stanley Park and thru down town is not a bad idea either.

Stacy, if you don't mind, I would like to see if you would be our host and leader once we got up to Canada. (or other B.C. members who tag along)

Anybody else have other ideas?

I will try to get pretegra or NSX_V to lead the pack.I am still not driving my car yet.As far as scenic roads, too bad it wasn't summertime,we could drive up to Whistler. That will lend itself to another trip next year !
We could always just wing-it for dinner, after all it is a sunday,so shouldn't be busy like a saturday night.
Stacy

I'm getting excited..... Looks like I will be working all this weekend and next week to get my car ready.. :) Time to finally put all these parts I have laying around on it I guess..

just throwing out ideas... Anyone like to have Sushi for dinner??

Richmond BC had some kick ass restaurant that is 10x more delicious but cost less than Seattle.

Now you're talking.

if the day is Sunday, I should be able to make it. What time are you leaving and expect to be back. I will be off on Monday anyways, so a late return is ok with me.

I can see that not everyone would into the raw fish and shark fins....

Here's my rough idea of the day's itenary, we meet up rather early in WA. Maybe around 8am up north. (Think about Exit 206 or as north as Bremerton, opps I mean Bellingham, sorry guys as we have couple memebers there) Gather and wait... we should have everyone together and heading North around 8:30am

From exit 206, there should be hour and half drive including going through Truck border(to avoid those annoying long lines and speed bumps).

Duty Free shopping, (make up, fragrance for ladies ;) )if anyone interested. Regroup. Add another half hour.

11am. we could meet up Stacy and other BC members and having an early lunch.

Well, after some long drive in the morning and good lunch, we all want to take a nap, that will be a good time to stop by Stacy's shop and admire at his creations.

Should be around 3-4pm by then, then we will follow the locals for some scenic drive and/or Stanley Park, Vancouver Downtown.

Maybe finding a place taking some group pictures??

After that, we could spread into groups... early birds for Monday work need to head home, Sushi Group, Big Steak Group, Bar/Club hopping group.

Anyone have anything to add??

NSXDreamer2, thanks for taking chage of the coordination of this road trip. Either day is fine for me ,it looks like sunday is better for most. I live in B'ham so let me know when you guys wil be coming through and I will jump on board at that time. A trip to the dueling starbucks on Robson would be fun,if we can find parking anywhere. The food is very diverse and the options are vast although a local from that area would know the ins and outs of better quality. The other thing that is always interesting about going to Canada is the question of whether their computers talk to ours about insurance and speeding tickets. I dont think they do so I have done some interesting driving there at times.
any of you guys are welcome to call me on my cell at 360-3196170
Dylan (Sockeye)

Thank you Dylan for replying me.
Now I do paranoid about speeding tickets and insurance so I can promise this will not be a cannon-ball run. :)

I'm going to be quite busy this weekend, and probably won't be able to do anything regarding the trip. But I should have all the details laying down by middle of next week.

Until then, I'll come on and off Prime whenever I've got time. So anyone have any idea or some places you think we must visit/drive. Please throw the ideas out.

Gotta go montreal for car show... I will always miss this cruzin event...oh well... another one before christmas maybe? ..... :)

what is the date of the sunday are we talking about?....and will a birth cert work insted of a passport?

It will be the October 16th.
However I'm not sure if a birth cert will work instead of passport. Maybe you can check with both the Canadian and US custom?
