I've been debating putting a body kit on my nsx. Nothing too ricy, just some nice simple side skirts etc...

The only reason I'm debating putting some on is because I know It will be tougher for me to sell my car with a kit on it if I need to sell it one day.

A few questions, are you able to take body kits off without really affecting the main structure of the car?

I'm also thinking most NSX owners wouldn't approve of body kits on NSXS, what's your guys opinions on body kits, I'd love to hear from you guys.

Wings West kit looks good, is inexpensive & pretty much reversible. You remove your stock skirts completely so can put those in the closet for when you return to std. in future. The front lip is also pretty benign - worst that might happen is that you could have to repaint the lower front bumper if, when removing, the tape peeled the paint.

I don't think they look as good as the car does bone stock. In particular, all the rear wings I've seen are hideous. But most of the side skirts and front air dams are generally mild and innocuous. That's my opinion.

However, if you want to put a body kit on your car, it's your car - make it look however you like. Who cares whether or not you might get a little less money at resale time? Get the car you want, and make it look the way you want it to look.

Opinion? Horrid! Every one of them except possibly some of the side skirts. I think that WW crap front spoiler is just plain cheap looking. I mean, real cheap. The rear spats are all terrible and gawdy. The rear wings are all hideous and don't fit the car's lines at all, with the possible exception of the Comptech rear wing when used in conjunction with the rest of the wide body kit. Leave it stock, lower it and enjoy the ultraclean lines of a perfectly crafted car.

Yeah, Ken said it best, leave it stock. All this aftermarket stuff is for sissys.......HA! Whatever. Do what you want to do. It's your car. If you make it wild, be sure to make it loud ;-P

You know - this thing called life is not a dress rehersal - it is the only one you have and it is damn short if you ask me. Make the car look the way you want and don't ask for opinions or worry about if it will affect the resale.

Enjoy!

Body kits are just horrible. All those nice cars out there with body kits look worse/ or less nice than they did when they came out of the factory.

But everyone is right, do to it whatever it is that will make you happy. Who cares what everyone else thinks! Life is short, enjoy it!

I like your guys opinions, it seems like every NSX owner has simmilar personalities. Crazy Wild One Life sortof attitude!

Ya I don't think I'm gonna do the body kit thingy, i mean what's the point I love how the car looks now, why mess with it. I'll just get rims and lowered a tad....

Yeah, that's what I used to say.

But you'll decided what you want to do when the time comes.

If quality is an issue I would stay away from the kits. Even the WW sides do not fit perfectly, and leave unbalanced gaps in the door jam.

Spend the money on brakes and wheels. A big brake kit is eyecandy under a nice set of polished HREs.

However, if you like the look, go for it. Use bolt on parts and keep the old ones. The resale shoul not be effected if you have both looks available. It may even help sell the car to the right person.

do the bodykit!, add individuality to your car. I personally would like to stand out from every other 'stock' nsx. I love the look of modified cars. Im using Japanese bodykit parts (marga hills, yokota, taitec) the fit is excellent from what ive seen (albeit, stupidly expensive). Your choice, your money.
