Question:

Being that I've never needed to check for codes but if I had a code reader, where is the actual OBD2 plug??? I have located the blue plug that has given me the trouble codes but there not coming up on any list so I have the reader but I want to know where is the actual plug to hook up the reader..

Its just under the glove box in the underpannel strip hidden under a black cover that pops off. Carefully pry the cover to remove it a small flat/spade screw driver will do the trick. Connect service connector then turn ignition to the on position. The code reader will start to show what codes have been thrown.

on the 2000-up cars it is under the driver side dash.

Mine is a '00 and the service connector plug is under the glovebox under a plastic cover at least that is where I've plugged my ODBII code reader into... did it change on the '02+ cars by chance?

Richie you are correct, the OBD11 plug location changed on the 2002 -2005.

On 95-2001 the OBD11 are still under the glove box.

Bram

I though it changed in later years as mine is still under the glovebox & an '01 I looked at was in the same location. 02+ on drivers side... Thanks for confirming.

Sorry I meant '02-up - I guess you guys figured it out...
