NSXidus??

There's been many times where my friends/co-workers will get annoyed when I would say something like:

"I rode the motorcycle to run some errands this morning because the NSX is getting detailed"

They would reply by saying:

"Why can't you just say (my car is getting detailed), why do you have to say NSX all the time?!"

Yes some are just pulling my leg and others are just green

But, then again, I have had some friends say that amongst NSX owners, they notice that WE (fellow NSXrs) tend to say "NSX" as opposed to my "Acura" or my "car".

I can't just say: "My Acura was getting detailed since I have two (was three but see sig below).

But I am just curious. Do you suffer from NSXidus. Can you speak about your NSX without refering to her AS the NSX?

Is it cocky of us to do so?

Do we really care?

Just curious if you have heard something similar

I just say my other car usually to my co workers. Half of them dont know what the car is, and think its an integra some type or CL.

When and if they see it then they are like
Oh thats an ACURA? even worse I have Honda badges on mine.

It Just proves that the NSX is more that just another "car" or even "Acura." It drives me nuts when im working and someone comes in and asks for springs for their "Honda"...Honda what??? Accord, Civic, Prelude, S2000 which is it??? Do your car justice call it by its real name.

I always call the NSX by its first name () when I'm around people who know I have one. If they don't know, I call it my car because I don't want to sound cocky. When they see it, they'll call it "NSX" enough for the both of us!

I always refer to it as " The NSX " in what ever I do with it.

Around other people, it's my other car. With the wife, it's "little red" versus my daily driver (red RX-7) which is "old red".

I usually refer to my NSX as "The little Acura." To my close friends, family, and NSX Friends... I refer to it as "The NSX"... of course.

But then again, I treat my other car the same way. "The Honda" or "The Accord."

this is expected to some of my friends and acquaintance. so, depending on who im talking to sometimes, i would refer to it as NSX. but sometimes i jsut say "the black one".

'74 Lotus Europa...The Locust or The Coffin, depending on what has broken lately or how recently we drove next to an SUV (It is absolutely invisible)
When dealing with others outside the family it is always "my car"...keep 'em guessing

From the very first time I NSXperienced the sheer NSXtacy, the pure driving NSXcitement from sitting behind the wheel of my NSXotic sports car, NSXs have dominated my NSXistence. I'm sure if you really NSXamine the attitude of most NSXers, you'll find that I'm not alone in NSXclaming my love for the NSX!

LMAOL, Oh yeah!! That has got to be Engraved on metal (lightweight of course) and engraved on something for us all to enjoy. That was totally original! I would happily put that quote in my NSX. It would be great for a poster. Copy and paste.

well, the attitudes from these people demonstrate exactly how good the nsx is.....they piss people off, get them jealous, etc....

i'm sure no one would lift an eyebrow if you say my integra is getting a detail job......

i consider this a good thing......these reactions stir up a rather boring day, don't they?
