NSX totally wrecked in England... Grusome pictures, beware..

I think a Ferrari 355 would have looked quite different after such an accident.

BTW I have some panels for sale, the best I can say after that the driver was not hurt.

Looks to me as if the rear frame got damaged, not while rolling but while the side-impact.

I think it's disturbing that someone would take photos of this and post it online. It's very disrespectful... this car was someone's pride and joy.

moderator.. please delete this thread.

youtubitoo!!
we must seek out the thumbs-up doooode, and slag em.

So it was a coupe and it doesn't look like he had any 5 or 6 point belts? And his quote,

Can I just say my car was recovered to my dads garage this afternoon and it was noted you can see the indentation of my head on the drivers side of the roof

Madness

Praise be the power of the helmet

Didn't quite save Senna mind

So if he would have had a harness, would he have neck injuries now? I've been on the fence about getting a harness bar and 6point because of this reason. Looks like the top held up better than I would expect from that impact, but being 6 foot and right against the roof with a helmet on, still make me go Hmmmm.

On a side note, sounds like it was first lap on cold tires, too much speed, and the infamous NSX pendulum effect that took him out?

what is the cat thread that everyone is talking about?

Someone had a car accident with a cat that can happen without giving any more details. The writer thought it was necessary to take some really disgusting pics (rotten.com style) immediately after the accident and post them here on prime instead of bringing her to the vet. His NSX only had minor damage.
The cat thread lived only one day and wasn't of any contribution to prime readers so it was deleted.

Thanks for the info.

Did the driver lift the throttle during the first slide? I'm pretty sure of that. The first slide was not the problem, immediately getting grip during lifting the throttle results in a massive counter-swing. Maybe it could have been avoided while staying on the throttle instead of lifting it.
This video reminds me of the one we've seen of a white one doing the same but with no hard impact. I was pretty sure that the white one did the same WITH lifting the throttle.

I take this and the other video as a warning

- NOT do drive fast into a corner
- NOT to lift the throttle in a corner

I'm glad that was sarcasm Nicholas, you undoubtly raised some blood pressure.

Regarding the car... Ouch! Glad the driver is okay.

It does not take much to get people with raised blood pressure on this site.

Same way I spun my car, you cannot lift off the gas once you start sliding you need to stay in it and finish sliding though the turn if you can. It is remarkable how fast the car will snap when you lift the throttle. Thanks goodness no one was seriously injured. I wonder if he had harnesses in the car of if good old seat belts saved the day......Steve

LOL... jhahaha.. what the hell was the cat doing?? lol.. bahaha. and the look on the kid's face... priceless.. he looks like he is pouting.. and almost gonna cry..

BTW, i'm laughing cause it looks like there wasn't any REAL scratching.. Just looks like the caught was air scratching the kids ears or something.

actuallty it looks as if he DID NOT lift on the gas, but just didnt have enough speed or HP to muscle through the slide...that sucks
