NSX Total Motor Rebuild by Mark Basch

I think the term is "restraint of trade". I hate it too. OTOH if any one place doesn't want to carry EVERY brand, I can understand that there are some things that one place carries, and others that another place does.

Tire Rack doesn't carry Falken or Toyo tires, either.

BTW, Discount Tire gives members wholesale pricing on items they carry in stock. If they would have to special-order your wheels, you wouldn't necessarily get a better price on them. OTOH you would still get the price on tires and could get them mounted at the same time. (Most of the tire places do mounting/balancing for free if you're buying the wheels and tires together.)

SJS, you are correct. Racing is a bit more "secretive" however, same applies to any motor i build. I actually build more "race" street motors. Seems, street guys need more power worse then you car guys!

Yes, restraint of trade is the term I couldn't seem to summon up. Naturally they can pick & choose as the please, but when they don't get the choice simple because a competitor already carries the item, that sucks. Another one that bothers be is the no-discounts policy written into contracts, and that does stink of price fixing.

BTW, Toyo tires are not available from any of the major mail-order places, which is their version of price control. It all sucks. Free trade my ass.

But I digress, so back to the topic of this thread. Ooops, we're not really discussing that anyway, so perhaps I should rant on about something else...

Me too... I haven't received NSXD for at least 18 months.

That's because you didn't send the club your new address when you moved to Florida, Manuel. Your NSX Driver is still being sent to your old address in Chicago because it's the only address the club has for you.

Ooops -- evidently these do NOT get forwarded. As of late last week, am back in Chicago -- hopefully for keeps

1. the project is not yet complete

2. out of respect for Mark Basch’s work, I will wait until he hammers out all the bugs and gets a final working system put together, then perhaps he can answer the detailed technical questions (certainly much better than I can anyway) , and announce a price.

3. There will be a complete, painstakingly detailed write-up on this system in the next edition of NSX Driver

This answer works for me.

But I don't think this site should be used to sell memberships or the posts here should be used for that either.
