Hi,
Awhile ago, someone on this board (ComptechNSX?) posted that he installed an Engine Start Button (a la S2000) in his NSX.
Does anyone have a clue about what this install would cost?
Anyone else interested, or think it would be nice?
ComptechNSX, do you have any pics that you can post online? I am very, very interested in this modification.
Thanks in advance! -Thomas

I have been considering a similar mod. I think that the best bet is to remove the shift pattern badge behind the shifter boot area on the center console and place it there.

I have a picture on my harddrive at work, trying to figure how to transfer to message board. The part isn't that expensive at all,
like $50, finding someone you trust to hook it up is the trick. I took a chance on a local alarm and custom stereo shop and only got charged $50 for install!! $100 total.
Great deal IMO. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

Hi, ComptechNSX,
If you would like, I can host the picture for you. You'll just have to email me the picture at [email protected]
I will post it on this thread if you like.
Thanks in advance/ -Thomas
PS. Oh, by the way, can you tell me where you got the parts from, and what parts are needed? Thanks.

Wait, so with this, all someone has to do to steal my car is to sit in it an push this button?

In the S2000, you still need a key to turn on the electronics, and the starter button is the ignition. Should be the same with those aftermarket starter buttons.

Will this button fit in place of the lighter? This way it could stay concealed.

Someone from this board (NssSeX) e-mailed me a pic of his push button. I'll try to find it on my old computer and post it.

diablo2469, are you the guy that I've seen around hollywood in a new diablo? It's a champagne color... w/ silver rims.. ?

How the S2000 start button is diffrent from the aftermarket? Ilike Honda OEM too but it might not have the needed cables ?

Hi, again, everyone.
Someone who browses this board was nice enough to email me the link below on what is needed to perform the install, how to install, and a picture of the install. Nice!
Thought you all may be interested as well.
Still waiting to see pics of ComptechNSX and NssSeX's install too

Here's another aftermarket push button that goes for around $30 (cheaper than the Ignited brand) but quality is unknown:
