NSX and Audi R8 Photoshoot for Magazine

Hi Everyone,

Well today we had a magazine shoot my NSX and an Audi R8 for an upcoming article that I will post on here. I won't say which magazine but it will be printed in January or February of 2008. Got to drive the R8 and all I can say is "wow". It was the tiptronic but who cares as this car sounds amazing - so viceral - and drives amazingly too. Damn quick let me tell you. The guy from Audi said there will be a V10 version coming with the Gallardo engine...

The NSX is timeless.

I think the design is a lot better than the R8. The R8 is ofcourse new and have all the gizmoes of the modern world, but the car infront of it is a 16/17 year old car and I would not trade my NSX for a R8.

I would be okey with a R8 in addition to my NSX. That way I could drive the NSX when I felt for having some quality time and drive the R8 as a beater.

I miss Dubai. I lived there for 14 years before moving to the U.S. in 1989. Things have really changed there. Hopefully I'll get to visit there soon.

LOL I told you guys ,but no one wanted to believe me:biggrin: Oh and yes it's less impressive in person. Audi did a much better job with the S5. That car looks much better than the R8 especially in black to black comparison.

No idea but it was suction cups and doesn't leave a mark on the cars. No real high speed shooting either but cool nonetheless to have it mounted on your car.

THE R8 IS FAST KIDS! Really fast and I can't imagine what it would feel like with the Gallardo V10?!?!

I agree the NSX is timeless hence why I own one...I'll never be without one.

Wow... If I could afford an R8, I'd ditch the NSX in a second and take it. It's stunning, IMO. Look at that massive exposed carbon blade, the noise the engine makes, everything. I want one very, very badly.

That R8 doesn't even look like a sportscar when parked next to the NSX. They really dropped the ball in terms of that car's appearance.

As a huge fan of the R8, I too am shocked with how bad it looks compared to the NSX.

The problem with the NSX is that the R8 looks really good from this angle...

And that's all you'd see from the cockpit of an NSX.

Pictures do not do the R8 justice IMO. I saw one at the auto show and it was stunning. Far more exotic looking than a NSX. Still, the NSX is a timeless beauty.

Just wait for the RS8 to come out with a twin turbo V10 with up to 580HP.

Ryan, I completely agree with you on the rear end of that R8.
I was going to say that the nsx needs something like that, but when you look at his black nsx rear by itself, Its all that the car needs, nothing else.
I can see the R8 sitting there all alone would be breathless, thats for sure.

I saw a red R8 on the highway last month and was literally drawn to find out what it was. Much better looking in person...IMHO!!

You're kidding right? If someone said "I'll hand you the title to this $100k++ R8 for your NSX", you wouldn't take it?? I mean I admit the NSX looks better but you could sell that R8 and buy MULTIPLE NSX's or build the NSX of your wildest dreams :biggrin:

I've only seen the Audi R8 a couple of times now and I am still not sure what to think of it.

First of all, next to the NSX, the R8 really is a BIG car! And I mean, REALLY big.
However, when you look at it, that typical German bulkiness also makes it a very impressive, or better, imposing, car.
Next to the R8, the NSX is a very sleek looking car with, in fact, a very long tail. Of course the NSX has a very usefull trunk space which is something the R8 completely lacks, it's just engine back there.
The long tail also makes the NSX look very long compared to the R8. In reality, the are within an inch of each other in length. The R8 is however, a lot wider.

The problem I have with the R8 is simply this.
Park your R8 next to your neighbors Audi TT and then determine if it still looks that impressive. Or just like a extra TT which got squashed a little.
How will it look in ten years from now?
The NSX still draws a lot of attention. And I think that's remarkable given the fact that first of all, its a 17 year old design and second, it's a car that most people have never heard of.

Besides, the pictures shown here don't really show the NSX from its best angles I think.

Did Procar or some one posted a picture of R8 right next the NSX? I think the title was "R8 is a truck" or some thing like that.

From that photo, the R8 was massive!!!
