Not main relay,fuel pump resistor,ignition switch,fuel pressure fine,what else?

Here has been my experience with this as of late.

I originally thought I needed a main relay. I replaced it, car worked fine. A few months later, car died on the road, would not start. I fiddled with the fuel pump reisistor and it started:). I figured I was confused  when changing the main relay, so the fuel pump resistor was the issue. Replaced that and all was well FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON THIS YEAR, including NSXPO2004. Returned home from NSXPO2004 and the car would not start a week later  . It has turned out, that after all that, the connector that the fuel pump resistor connector connects to is defective, the pin is pushing out occasionally and not making contact. It took me a while to find it, and I beleive this was the original problem from day one.

Now with this problem the car WOULD start, but die immediately, just to clarify the symptoms:).

It turned out I had a bad ECU that was shorting out, I replaced it and all is good now.

Brian - how did you determine this? Do you know which circuit was shorted?

If you have a sophisticated car alarm system, the power to the fuel pump is interrupted through a switch (starter disable relay). If this switch doesn't function correctly, the fuel pump won't work or not instantly at start up.

If you look behind the passenger seat panel, two wires go to the fuel pump. If you close these wires you will bypass the starter disable relay.
It worked for me
