Man, i missed my NSX. I will be picking it up next week, but in the mean time, the MR2 will have to do. It's all great until I lined up with a Corvette C5. With the NSX, I would have tore this convertible C5's door right off. However, since I was in my MR2, I tried anyway; we lined up, went sideway a bit, got the jump on him, but then his C5 gained on me as we rolled and there was nothing I can do about that. I figured that was what going to happened as speed gained because he got 345hp and I got only 140hp. I lost, and i felt bad. Wish I had the NSX for the race because I would have put that C5 where it belongs with the other two C5's that I've beat in the NSX.

The screwed up think was that the owner was being kind of a prick, too (import vs. domestic kinda thing.) Very aggressive and laughing it off. I will see you around with my import cars, and next time, i won't be so kind when my other toy is here. Maybe, i need to yank out my MR2 motor and throw in there in 3rd gen. turbo (250hp) motor, then tweak it to about 300hp. With a car that small, and being mid-engined, I will have some fun.

I used to beat C5's and many other V8 domestics with my turbo Integra GSR all the time. I absolutely hate domestic owners that are anti import and when I run across one who "starts" the fight, I would whoop him, and rub it in as much as I could. I would ONLY do this IF they would start the fight. i.e. several times on the interstate I would be going 72 with the cruise on and a C5 would roll past, put it in neutral and rev on me, laugh and then about 15 sec later can't believe that a Honda 4cyl just pulled on him up to 150mph! :D

modded MR2's are nice. But a lot of Domestics like to think they are all bad because they have 4 more cylinders then me... it is priceless to see the looks on their face though when you are ahead of them.

3-SGTE is awesome. The engine can be easily modded to have around 350hp. With that, lots of the cars out there includes the C5 will feel regretful.

I know I drive a 4th gen prelude daily and I have these kids pull up beside me in v8 mustangs and camaros. I guess they don't understand that the v8 has 2 times the motor...it's kinda like Mike Tyson stepping into the ring with a 5 year old.........

I too hate domestic owners who don't show any respect for imports. The fun thing is that I rarely lose at the track and when they ask me to pop the hood...I get to show off my 1.3 liter engine:D

Just my 2 cents on the NSX/C5 race...I had a 93 NSX and a 99 C5 vert, I think the race would be pretty close. A lot depends on the driver.

Anyway go imports!!!!
