Good then it should be a Scuderia fighter then....
Hmm won't a GTR spank a scuderia???

^ I'm not sure how accurate that is.. did they get their letter yet from Nissan? Dealers are sopposed to know this week how many they are getting (and if they were accepted), but perhaps your dealer got their allotment letter early?
+1NSX in a heartbeat.
After seeing Nissan with this new GT-R, I have lost all hopes and expectations from Honda. *sigh*
I am glad I made an early decision to keep my NSX for as long as I live. Juiced her up and I will be fine.
As much as I love the NSX, the specs and performance on the GTR is impossible to ignore. I still have some time to decide which car to get.... Question, if you had to pick an NSX (2005- low miles) or a new GTR (no markup, around the same price as an '05), which would you get? This is my dilemma.....
There are turbocharged Neons around here that can beat me up the on-ramp, but I don't want one of them either. Looks matter and the opportunities to actually go at mach 1 are extremely limited.Who cares what the car looks like. Especially when the majority of us will only see a streak or tail lights if we're lucky when it blows by us at mach 1.
Ask any dreamer would you rather have a Ferrari F-355 or Porsche Turbo or Turbo NSX or a GTR? 7

Better yet a Turbo NSX. In the end of the day I will know I have a car with years of developement and value.
One could easily pick up a clean Z32 Twin turbo for $10k and drop 25K into it and make it just as fast total price=35K with much better looks and less weight.

I totally understand that there's a subset of us for whom absolute highest performance numbers is a top priority. I'm just not one of that group.
I do however have a problem with the looks. I was talking about this with the guys at the office today (one was a previous Elise owner, the other a WRX guy) and we were all floored by the numbers, but we all agreed it was butt ugly and we'd have a hard time buying it simply because of that (we're all pretending for a moment here we could actually afford one).
So a WRX guy had a problem with the "looks" of the GT-R?
Honestly, some people find the car very good looking....it's a matter of taste. The performance is definitely there, and if you like the idea of a 2+2 you have to consider it.
The NSX is a work of art...no doubt...this car is something different. If there is a market for EVO's and STi's, there's a market for this car.
I think it's good looking in a "Mad Max" sort of way.
Not saying I would dump my NSX for one, but I may dump my S4..
He agreed his WRX is ugly as well. Like you, I put this car into that same ugly boat as the STi and Evo.
At some point we have to consider Japanese culture/design. Ugly to us, but very functional. Definitely not Italian. lol.
What do you think Honda would make the next NSX look like? So far the latest show cars are pretty hideous.
We may have just gotten very lucky...I guess if I had to drive an "ugly" car, the GT-R would be it.
STi not so much...and have you seen the new STi? Looks like a Ford Focus.
Given how hard the launch control is on the car, what does that mean for the warranty? Someone here at work said that it's also an option on the Exige, but if you use it (or order the option, he was unclear which), it voids the warranty.
