Nissan GTR test times... wow..

holy crap

 I LIKES!

Fast as hell.

But just as ugly and as long as they refuse to offer a proper manual tranny, I am not interested.

That car just set the bar so high that I do not know that Honda could ever beat it with any second generation NSX and certainly not for the price.

That car is now the Best Performance Bang for the Buck taking the title from the Z06.

Just wait until the tuners get a hold of it and crank up the boost!

On the downside, it is not overly pretty, the interior only looks OK and the thing weighs too much!

agreed. There is just that "something" about shifting through the gears yourself... however, there is no denying the GTR will shift better then most drivers in an equivalent traditional manual.

THe new GTR or Lambo Gallardo is what the next NSX should have been in performance. Oh wells too bad.....I sure hope Honda takes notice on these cars.

"We've seen some impressive numbers before, but nothing like these."

Ack... my local dealership is getting 3...one is spoken for. I kinda like the red...

Waw 0-60 in 3.3  waw thats fast. Just give it another 6 months and watch people run the 1/4 mile in the 11.00 and 10.50 this thing is going to be a killer. But i dont think its going to be faster then the corvette.I mean come-on 10 second stock vette with slicks is incredible  . But the GTR is still just a better car in my book.

The thing is that fast cars come and go. Cars dear to not one group of enthusiasts but all auto enthusiasts comes once in a while, the NSX is that special. That's why I'd take a NSX. GTR gives me M3 and Z06 feeling, performance performance performance but nothing more. One can argue that sports car market is based on performance but to me it's much more complicated.

Of course, this is a NSX forum so what kind of answers do you expect

DAMN YOU NISSAN!!!! You got the sepcs and numbers down. Why couldn't you have made it good looking??!! If it wasn't for the blah look, I might get in line for one.

Those specs are defenitely eye opening to say the least! But I am still waiting for the look to grow on me. Until then, I'll stick to my slower and older NSX.

No choice they'd been gunning for the 911 turbo like Nissan. I hope this doesn't sound racist ,but Japanese pride is a mother from what I hear. Not matching or exceeding the GT-R won't sit well with Honda.

Remember the 90's where Nissans 300ZX TT made all the Japanese car companies to delay their vehicles to outperform it. The Supra was delayed two years as Toyota went back to the drawing board to exceed the Z32 TT.

Don't forget it was the RX7 and Skyline that brought the NSX-R , Type S and Type S zero to life as every time one of those guys upped the ante Honda would try to best that.

Good then it should be a Scuderia fighter then....

Holy crap.

That car is very ugly, and I am not sure I care any more.

After seeing Nissan with this new GT-R, I have lost all hopes and expectations from Honda. *sigh*
I am glad I made an early decision to keep my NSX for as long as I live. Juiced her up and I will be fine.
