Nice diffuser.

Patience Grasshoppa...

So no one like this one which is quite similiar.

Similar as in they both have fins and are called diffusers? Then yeah they are similar.

edit: just looked that the Lexus one again, the Lexus one looks like it was made with a sawzall and its flat. The one on the NSX looks like it can possibly be functional, and has form and is two tones. When I mention form, I mean that the one on the NSX actually looks like a tunnel that give path for the lower pressure air to escape. The one on the Lexus looks like a cheap worn out comb with too many missing teeth.

Nice transmission tunnel.

Oh wait , that's absolutely stupid.

That depends, for example on the rear I built for our widebody, the center portion of the diffuser houses the exhaust that is going to center exit below the plate. No transmission in there though, should have some pics one of these days. Here is an old pic of the prototype diffuser mock-up.

Now i like that diffuser. Athough others may say the tranny tunnel is useless {and it is} it is very cool looking nonetheless. Very F430ish.

Bpiddy, you have been working on that thing forever. In your case you are adding function to form. That is perfectly acceptable and I applaud your efforts. How effective it is remains to be seen as your project seems to be in cronic stasis.

The thing is that the most functional form may not be the prettiest and the prettiest form certainly won't be the most functional. Like loudspeaker design, I'm always impressed when someone takes the time to create the perfect balance between the two.

It has been a marathon to say the least. This will be the third widebody Ive done. I ended up scrapping all the prototype Callos Design parts that were on the car and starting from scratch, this meant getting all new oem panels to build the new widebody parts from. I had set out to make this bumper interchangeable with the sorcery/versus rear quarter panels, thats why its was originally mocked up against a versus made sorcery knockoff rear quarter, but I abandoned that idea. I could easily adapt this rear setup to a non widebody, The 5 piece diffuser would be the same and the exhaust will already be jigged for the widebody setup, the rear bumper isnt much wider than stock where it meets the rear quarter the most work would be at the rear spat area making it look right and flow correctly with the stock panels. Also it would need to attach to the oem fender liners to function correctly, once I mold the widebody parts I will make up an extra bumper and fit it to a stock body car and see how it turns out. I also reduced the rear bumper side profile by 2", it makes a pretty big difference in the overall appearance of the rear.

Good to see that you have continued to work at this. How much more till you think you're done? If I may make a suggestion, it would be great of you could implement the lines seen on Hishi's car. Adding this line alone would make your product desirable to me and possibly others.

Let me know if you can make it happen.

We are getting pretty close to completion, just a little more work on the front bumper and diffuser and I should be able to put everything together and take some fully assembled pics, should have the first production unit in about a month. The issue with changing the bumper to quarter panel body line on a production kit is the vertical mount that holds the rear side of the rear quarter panels is used to get the curved area around the tail lights reveal just right, this area requires adjustment even on an oem panel. So more is involved than just changing the body line orientation, you would need to make a bracket that allowed adjustment up and down as well as left to right that you could adjust after the quarter was installed and before the bumper was installed. It would also need to not allow the panel to shift around the tail light area. As a one off it could be modified and reinforced pretty easily, just harder for a production piece, in my opinion.
