I just talked to two Tubi dealers and Tubi Style NA and the last ones were just sold. Tony at Naples Motorsports said if we could get 10 people he could talk Tubi in to sending more over here, otherwise they say the demand isn't high enough to stock them. Tony will work on price if we can at least show interest in 10 of them. I am guessing price should be right around $1900.

Is the wait going to be the same as the last Tubi GB?

I am very interested in a Tubi exhaust for my 93 NSX. However, can anyone report how well it will hold up if your NSX has the Comptech Supercharger, Headers, Exhaust and Carbon Fiber Intake?

Thanks,

Mike

I should have snapped up the Tubi prototype that was on my car for the test fitments....could have helped out someone.:(

I am waiting to hear back on details.... apparently Tubi USA doesn't want to bring anymore in as they don't think the demand is there. Tony at Naples Motorsports is trying to negotiate a deal and said he would get back to me. The alternative is to go through Scuderia Systems in the UK. They are checking with Tubi USA first so they don't step on any toes and will get back to me.

This may be the last opportunity for us US NSXers to get ahold of a supply of Tubi exhausts.

BTW: I was going to try and hold out for an Anytime F1, but who knows when that will be going to production. Plus, everyone says that the Tubi is one of the best sounding.

Hey Mike - remember however, that your 93 NSX has an '02 rear valance - you would have to mod it like my Tubi with single tips - duals will not work with the late model valance.

Hi Ken,

Yes I do remember. My intent is to follow your lead on what you did for the single tip conversion. If I do get the Tubi, I will visit Gabriel at Precision Brake & Muffler in Milpitas and ask him to do the "D'Ecosse" Tubi conversion.

Thanks,

Mike

I had to wait 4 - 6 weeks for mine to arrive from Italy. It came with the adapter pipes for my 99. Manu from scuderia is a great guy to deal with. Mine was £ 1500.00 with the adapter pipes.

Cheers

It did, ME!

(thanks again for the test fitment)

I'm interested but I'd like to hear more about:
1) Wait time
2) Fitment as I understand several folks from the last GB with NA2 cars had fitment issues.
3) Price

No matter what, thanks for taking the lead and trying to set this up for the group.

I'm in. I already had an inquiry at the local Tubistyle reseller-- which I'm guessing is going to come back negative.

I was at the concourso italiano in Carmel California last year and talked to a tubi rep. He told me, if i could find 5 people he could get them for an nsx. I will try to track down his card and see what I can do as well.

Can someone report on the sound of the "new" Tubi vs the original Tubi... ?

We have commentary on the difference between Gruppe M ver 2 vs Gruppe M ver 3

There should have been a few of the new ones at NSXPO along with a few of the original ones...

Anyone???

I am not going to get involved in this group buy, too much BS from the last one. The exhaust where ordered on 09-20-2004.
They arived on..................... 06-15-2005, it took all most 9 months.

Here is the old thread

I would just call Franc @ Tubi style usa direct, and ask him whats going on.
He is the ONLY one that will know.

I know I might catch some heat from this, but IMO the Tubi is way overated. I had a Tubi on my 93' NSX and was unimpressed with the sound (to quiet). You really did not get that Ferrari sound that everyone is looking to get out this exhaust. For that kind of money the Gruppe M or Phase sounds like a better deal.

Just my .02

I like the looks, so I won't give you any heat.

As for the BS and delays in ordering from Tubi, sono siccuro che ci saranno tutti tutti italiani che lavorare sul i nostri silenzi ma si puo' aspettare un tempo lungo per questi silenzi perfetti essere completati. Aspettero'.

I Just called TubiStyle USA and spoke with Lou. He told me that Naples Motorsports is working on a GroupBuy for the NSX. Lou also said he just spoke with Tubi Italy and they said they could do a run of exhausts to be delivered by the end of March. Lets get this GroupBuy going, if your serious about getting the best sounding exhaust, then put your name on the list below.

Thanks,

Mike

Sorry, but price? Any potential fitment issues like the last batch or have they got that ironed out?
