New Tubi Group Buy.

Well, it looks like this Tubi Group Buy has come to an end, since no one added their name to the list.

Congratulations on buying the old style Tubi. Be sure to post some picks when you get it installed.

For those of you that are still interested, please add your name and the year of your NSX to the list that I started below. Obviously, placing your name on the list is not a commitment, but it would give me an idea as to what I have to negotiate with.

My plan is to send an e-mail to tony at Naples Motorsports on Friday March 10th. So, I hope that everyone who is interested will have posted to the list. When I do contact Tony I will ask for his best price shipped to the garage where your NSX is parked. I will also request what will be the lead time from time of order to delivery of the Tubi exhaust. One other thing, I will only contact Tony if there is at least five on the list, however in my opinion I think we are going to need at least 10 on the list.

PRESS RELEASE February 24, 2006 - Naples Motorsports, Inc. has been recognized as the EXCLUSIVE DEALER for Tubi Acura NSX Exhaust Systems. We have commissioned Tubi Style to build these exhausts for a limited run. Because of increased costs in the US dollar compared to the Euro the prices have gone up. The new list price is $2,399. plus $75 shipping. (plus sales tax if you live in Florida). For a limited time we will be accepting deposits to lock in a special introductory price of $2,099 if we receive a $300 deposit before 3/31/2006. This special pricing is good for all NSX customers who send us a deposit no later than 3/31/2006. After that we cannot honor the special pricing. The reason why is because we had to pre-pay for over $30,000 worth of exhaust systems. These exhausts are direct bolt on for 1991 – 1997 NSX’s. These could work with some of the newer model cars but you may need to purchase an adaptor pipe for $399. We feel this is the BEST exhaust money can buy on the market. We expect the exhausts to be here in the United States by April 15, 2006. The shipping time is approximate. All deposit checks should be made payable to: Naples Motorsports, Inc. 1361 N Airport RdNaples, FL 34104 Attn: Tony Swanson

I purchased an old style Tubi two weeks ago. My impressions.... first off, on the pre 02 vallence I think that the quad exhaust fills the back end much, much better. Looks perfect. The sound is just right. At first I thought maybe I wanted it louder, but after driving it a bit, it sounds just like the stock, but a tad deeper. Not very loud at all. When you get on it, it gets louder than stock but not obnoxious. It's growing on me, but it definately didn't WOW me when I stuck it on.

Question.... why would this exhaust work on a 1997 car and not a 1998 - 2001?

That is an error apparently - should be 91-96; it will use the short extensions from the OEM set-up from the 95-96 models. If you want 97+ you would utlize these same extensions available new or after-market (SOS, Comptech, Dali etc)

Not my experience.
I changed from a Comptech which was already louder than stock and the Tubi is louder than that. I definitely would not categorize in the aggresive end of the spectrum by any means, but it seems quite misleading to me to describe this as sounding anything remotely like stock.

Here's some sound bites of mine - also has CIS, K & N & Headers as well as Original Tubi modified with single tips
