New Red to White NSX-R conversion

Hi,

Oh yeah does anyone know what color code the mirrors are for the NSX-R I think they are Berlina Not sure NH547 is what my car is not sure.

i believe it's the same color code than the roof: Berlina Black NH547

at least my roof and mirrors are painted like that :tongue:

So this should end up similar to Frank's NSX-R replica ... lovely ... and please persuade the owner to ditch the red calipers ... great on BBK's but just doesn't look right on OEM IMHO

Ok was at the shop today got some small stuff done prob take everything off I can before I drop the engine

this car is getting every single bolt removed before paint. its the only way to make it pure.

if you notice all the mud and dirt where the rear quarters are thats from not having fender liners. not fun to clean lol.

also Chris (owner) dropped off a Comptech airbox I installed it correctly but I think there is something missing

do you guys know whats is needed to compete this Comptech Scoop Air Dam

it wraps around the gasoline Tube Neck? I think there is a second scoop that connects at the bottom which connects to the Air Dam external of the car.

hardstuff first (fenders etc. )

easy stuff last. (engine)

it already has a hooked up stereo system, Navi, rear cam etc. just had the interior Leather redone to mint standards, and added red stitching to the seats very nice.
will snap some interior pics today.

When do you anticipate completing? Would you consider having an open house upon completion? In all seriousness, I'd be interested to fly down to admire the results in person and get in a few rounds of golf with any others who'd be up for a short getaway weekend later this year.

removed e-brake lines, removed Passengerside Axle
started on the driverside but got tired came home to nap. I am driving myself mad with NSX this NSX that LOL cant sleep at night thinking about bolts and parts LOL its a passion turned deadly LOL

owner stopped by dropped off new tail lights,
and he ordered SOS Headers, and comptech exhaust Stage 2 I think he said. and Downforce sideskirts.

he is putting some serious cash into this beast I cant wait to see her done
I have never seen a pearl white NSX before and it killing me to see one LOL

Then Trouble hits Uggggggggg. the guy that did the last clutch install must have missed a tooth on the spline and banged the axle into the intermediate shaft its stuck, so he took the band off the boot and slide the rest of the axle back into place there was greese everywhere so its gonna need a new one. I could not get it off for the life of me crow bar, pry bars, hammers nothing Uggggh. almost all the bolts were only finger tight yikes.
I have a spare thank god.

this is why you only have someone that knows NSX's do any work on these beautiful machines.
dont worry it will be fixed LOL

Now this was funny to me. look at the oil filter upside down. LOL yes turn your head and look LOL

Ok I took all the body panels to the painters.

they are going to weld the side markers front and rear and sand them down as the owner wants them deleted. so bye bye side markers
and Hello JDM turn lamps

now I didnt really touch alot on the rear tail lights he dropped off
they are ....... there is going to be a real interest in this
type of rear tails. and the modifications being made to them is gonna knock Prime's socks off if we can do it. this will be near the end of the build
but Prime is gonna go nuts trust me never been done before with these type of lights on the NSX.

Yes every single bolt will be removed so they can paint under the car, engine bay, everything that has a hint of red will be reshot White Pearl

its as if the factory had painted it white originally.

as for the parts that are left over Yes they are for sale. PM me.

so tonight I went to the shop for a few hours, everything under the car is ready to drop, shift cables, mini sub frame, done.

I then started on the upper parts I completly removed the passengerside engine harness from inside the cars interior and removed that stupid Fan that would not come on even if the engine was on fire LOL.
then removed the vacuum crap, airbox etc. then I stopped for the night.
I will upload pics in a few minutes so stay tuned you greese monkeys

lots of work but it so fun I have Mozart playing on the speakers and it like
perfect bliss. it really is bliss, no screaming kids, and no one asking why they cant e-mail a 10Gig attachment to a yahoo account LOL.
no ringing phones, no Boss. its bliss.

Ok guys dropped the engine today all I have to do is take out the minor stuff and everything in the front bay and off to paint on wed.

then valve covers are off to powdercoat red yummy yummy
