Actually, trying to get a set of the gunmetal type-r wheels as we speak, supposedly my source is telling me its not as easy as it used to be to buy type-r parts. In the past when I purchased type-r parts it was easy. Frank

I've heard this is due to Honda requiring proof of NSX-R ownership to supply the parts.

Just a thought, but why not re-finish your OEM R rims? You could then fabricate the hub and outer rim decals to complete the make-over.

If I can get the correct color code to the wheels, I might just do that it will save alot of cash. Maybe I can get the center caps and have the painter match the color to the gun metal center caps. Frank

I had the same thought Frank, LMK if you make any progress.

I was going to ask Mark, to order me those center caps or another source, and then have a painter match the center cap color to the rest of the wheel. The guys that I ordered my replica nsx-r seats can get the knock off of the Na2-r wheels, but to me the spoke looks alot thicker than factory. I could be wrong though. I heard the knock off style is $1000 or $1200 somewheres around there. Frank

Jack sports is the company that makes the knock off wheels. Fraom there site it looks like thay come in gun metal and white. Go underr the vendor section and go under route k vendor. Ask for Cole tell him Frank sent you. Frank

How/ where do you get the color code  ? I am also interested in powder coating/painting my 02 Type-R wheels.
When I refurbed my 02's I wanted the NSX-R grey finish as shown in post #43. After talking to several dealers, the best I could find is the Honda color NH537, referred too as Pewter Grey in the UK.

HTH, regards Paul

i have just a question.... how did you fit the RHD NSX-R red carpet into your LHD???? what were the fitment issues???

thanks,
Nuno

Nuno, sorry for the late reply, was busy taking a board exam. Haven't been home yet to see the car still in Atlanta. The guys at legendary said there were no fitment issues, because I don't think the nsx-r floormats fit in the lefthand drive cars. Hopefully procar makes them for us. Thanks, Frank

I'm not interested in doing this, but why don't those of yall that really want an NSX-R buy one and import it over here? It seems like the end cost would obviously be well over $100k, but some of yall spend that much making the car look like an NSX-R so I would think it wouldn't be too bad right? Maybe I'm wrong..just curious. i kno wimporting cars is hard, but isn't it easier if the car is already over here lik ethe NSX as apposed to the Skylines/Silvias. Just a thought.

No problem dude, thanks for your trouble...

i was asking about the carpet...not the mats...but hey... when you get the car, just take photos

i wish you the best result for that exam

The point I was trying to make is the guys at Legendary had no problem fitting the carpet. The floor mats from what I have been hearing don't fit correctly. Sorry for the confusion. Frank

can you post pictures of the NSX-R carpet in a LHD? I want to see how well it fits? I thought when i installed my recent carpet purchase that the left side contours were diffrent from the right side?

Guys, sorry for the misprint asked my brother to shoot pics of the nsx-r carpet, which I thought was supposed to be type-r carpet. He said its a 2002 carpet factory acura stuff. Haven't been home to see my car, will be home Saturday. I quess I will be calling movit next week to order red nsx-r carpet, and pro-car replica nsxr mats, thats should make the replica look great. If anyone is interested in 2002 factory red carpet please pm me. I will sell the carpet just to break even to purchase the new carpet. sorry guys for the confusion, but I will definately post pics when I get home and Im sure Sundays meet will have pics of my car. Im not sure if real nsx-r carpet would fit. I don't see why not, but Im not 100% sure. Thanks, Frank

Frank, nsx-r are only rhd so the only issue I can forsee for you is the heel pad and pedal pads will be in your passenger footwell.

Hi Frank,

Did you have any luck buying the grey centre caps? Also, on the grey NSX-R rims, do you know if the lip decal NSX-R stays black and red as on the white or silver rims?

regards, Paul

Paul, no luck yet on the gunmetal center caps. Dan, Na1/2r just got me my nsx-r sticker, so hopefully if I get time this week I will be dropping off my wheels to get them sprayed championship white and put the type-r stickers and valve stems on the wheels. I will keep you posted on the sucess of obtaing the center caps. Thanks, Frank

Finally got around to seeing the car yesterday. Frank stopped by my house and I have to say, pictures just dont do this car justice. By far the hottest NSX Ive ever seen:wink:
