Hey Prime members, I just bought my dream car although it needs some tlc (i dont know who would not care for an nsx) but i am willing to recondition this vehicle to as new or close to that as i possibly can. Its a 91 5speed berlinetta black, Now i need help on ideas and places on where to find parts for this fine vehicles, all info and ideas are welcome. Thanx in advance.

Congrats! Take a look at the vendor section here. There are a few dealers that are giving prime members discounts on OEM parts.

Then peruse the detailing section and you will find out all the products that are available to spiff her up.

That's awesome. Just from your post i can tell she is now in better hands. I really respect you for doing that. Too many cars are overlooked because they aren't perfect when most of the time, a little TLC is all they need.

Congrats
Mike

Berlina Black:wink:
Seriously Congrats and welcome!

Welcome and congrats on your purchase! If you haven't already found it, make sure you check out the NSX Wiki (off the red action bar at the top of most pages) for lots of useful NSX-related information. It's a work in progress but lots of good stuff there for new owners.

good for you welcome to owning the best Car Made.

lots of new owners recently

I think people are selling their cars and saving up for the new NSX

so great deals are out there.

as for why would someone neglect an NSX its cash. or lack of.

but they know that, so they sell it off when the regular maint is needed

thats why so many NSX have like 30 owners LOL

mine actually has 7 LOL my NSX has been around the block.

but she wasnt in the best of condition when I got her, but now she is

good luck

and did you get the package I sent you yet?

OMG you definitely got your work cut out...I'm glad you're planning on restoring her though. Can't wait to see pics of the finished product. What's
your timeline? (ps please loose those wheels too man...I have no words to describe how much those shoes just don't belong on the NSX...).

Please dont be scared of how scarred she is, i will put all my time and effort on bringing her back to life (and all my $ too, shes expensive) lol
First contributor (Shawn110975) for selling me a great piece that shes gonna get on as a finishing touch for the interior is a Mint cond Steering wheel that she needs bad ! Just got a box a few mins ago. A super clean Steering wheel. Thanx Shawn.

I also ordered a double din stereo install bracket with harness from SOS to go with a Brand new Pioneer Avic Z140BH, and door speaker bypass adaptors and CF cluster overlay. Now i need to work on that center console and do the double din cut out right and CF overlay it along with the door switch covers as well.

Holy cow, what's the story behind this poor NSX? Neglect, or theft? That is one rough car. I look forward to seeing your restore though. Please document everything and share with us. It will help you get a higher selling price when you decide to upgrade NSXs. Good luck!

So as i have to wait and save some $ to do the bigger things on it like paint and whatever she might need in the engine like timing belt, clutch or anything else im doing things now to get me by. I need the seats redone badly like asap lol and if someone knows of a shop or a guy that could upholster the whole interior again and he's reasonable in the so cali area, (i live in long beach) then please let me know.
I Wrapped the hood, roof and trunck in carbon fiber wrap to cover the blemishes meanwhile i get her in the bodyshop.
Last picture is how she sits now with CF Wrap, cleaned up and polished wheels for now while in save my chips for more upgrades.
Anyone have any parts to help my project ? please please help me out. Thanx guys.

Phoen$x, this was purely neglect, the guy i bought it from had owned her for the past 5 yrs and was a daily driver putting 4 to 5 miles a day in the past 5 yrs about 5k total and seems like it was never washed, polished or cleaned inside as there is a smell of old or something like that in the inside and trunk carpets so i need to replace them cus i have like 4 air fresheners in it for now. after i bought her i drove 67 miles home and opened her up on interstate 5s and picked up speed and drove really good with no issues , but i know i have to do maintenance on her soon.
