Well everyone I'm finally an owner of a beautiful 1991 Acura NSX formerly owned by NSX Prime's very own ViperDriver. I'm one of the luckiest people on the planet right now after I've been able to experience driving the car for the first time last week.

I have to say it was pretty daunting to send someone I hardly know money from half way around the world but when you have a good gut feeling you know it. ViperDriver has been meticulous as an owner of this car and it was by far the best buying experience I've ever encountered. Thanks again Chuck!

Here's some photos!

Good to see one happy seller and one very happy owner (ViperDriver and his 2002 Me and my new 1991):

Congrats!! Car looks great. Yes, Dubai pics would be cool. Hopefully transporting goes smoothly.

Welcome to the club.

Well if you're a new owner, how come I've still got two NSXs in my garage?

Don't worry, she's sleeping restfully under her blanket until the truck arrives!

Congrats once again, and it was great meeting you. I'm glad to know she's going to an owner who's going to take care of her!

Well we had issues with the shipping/transportation company when I was in Albuquerque as they originally "verbally" quoted me for enclosed trailer transport from Albuquerque to Houston but arranged a open style car carrier claiming it wasn't ever quoted (Mad as heck). Both myself and the seller (Viper Driver) weren't happy with that option so I've now arranged the enclosed truck to pick her up on July 16th. Not a delay I was happy with but will live with regardless and ViperDriver has been more than stellar with this whole process which is unique and I'm truly grateful for!

The car is expected to arrive in Dubai close to August 10th and as soon as she's here it will be carefully washed and detailed. Once ready I'll drive her to the Burj and snap some great photos!

Cheers.

Can't wait!

Congrats on the purchase  My parents live in Dubai and I was there just a couple of weeks ago. Without trying to steal your thunder here are a couple of pictures I took while I was there. Once again, congrats on the car. I will look out for you next time I am there.

Give me a PM if your back in Dubai! :)

Give me a PM when you get here. I am looking for one at the moment, but they keep coming up "SOLD"! Did you check with Al Futtaim to see if they can handle your repairs...if needed??

Dubai Rich,

I already live and work here (Dubai Marina specifically)! The car is presently being exported from the U.S. and should arrive in Dubai mid-August.

Nice photos, I always wanted to visit Dubai and UAE. Any good inexpensive hotels that you can recommend? BTW as far as women are concerned, do they need to wear head cover even though they are tourists?

I am unsure of the hotels - I stayed with my parents when I went. Jetpilot could answer that one for you better than I could.

As for women and headwear - no they don't have to. They can wear what ever they want. Most people there dress just like people would in the US. Dubai is very liberal when it comes to tourism...

They just opened a Express by Holiday Inn in Internet City, which will run about $100 a night. Consider that most hotels are rated at minimum 3-star, you will not go wrong. check the Dubai cityguide website, for lots more about the city. This place amazes me at times!!

Sorry I was away for the weekend and the answer is Exotic Cars on Sheikh Zayed Rd.

Yeah the Holiday Inn would be the better choice and there are more alternatives coming soon!

Dubai is VERY LIBERAL! I've got alot of girlfriends that wear next to nothing and always get away with it. I always tell people how great it is to live in Dubai and I'm a firm believer that sometimes its better than living back in Canada not just for tax reasons but that there's alot to do.

Life is good here and will be better once my NSX arrives! WHOOOOOwho!

as long as they can still bring in their money....

is it true youtube and stuff is banned over there?
i also heard the the gov't doesn't allow hi-speed internet, and everything is still run through phone lines?

High speed internet all the way! Its more modern in Dubai than most places in North America!!!

I'd say Dubai is closely becoming a New York, Hong Kong, London, type of city in terms of lifestyle. The other major city in the UAE is called Abu Dhabi and that city has just been awarded the 2009 Formula One GP hosting rights and the track is well under construction now. Very similar to Monaco.

The only things banned at the moment are:
1. Pornography
2. Homosexuality
3. Any website pertaining to the above or "dating", "sex", etc.

We get google video, youtube, facebook, etc etc....

People really need to stop watching the news and travel! I can honestly say I don't know when exactly I'll be returning to Canada but for the moment I'm staying here! Lot's to see and do that's for sure.

If your car crazy or like to shop (women) then this is your paradise.
