New COP cars in Toronto area

WHAT? Police masquerading as taxis? Unmarked cars are one thing but this... where will it all end?
I just did a search and if it's right, the number on the cab is to the police department.
Look for the licence plate and the lack of markings on the sides of the car indicating the cab company. That's the only give away!

UNREAL! They have to "hide" to get a pinch? Furthermore, let me ask you (all), would you STOP for this "patrol car"? Would your wife/girlfriend? What would you advise them, if followed and lit up by this "patrol car?"

Here we can speed past the Police and they do nothing about it. Its a fun thing I love to do when friends or family have come to stay. My sister was the funniest...she saw the Police car ahead and kept saying "Cam what the heck are you doing....you're going to jail for sure...oh god...oh god" and then me laughing as we blow by at 160km/h. The radar cameras don't even flash until 165 or 170. Its been bliss so when I do return I might just need to drive a Yaris! LOL!
I can just imagine how many people wouldn't stop for what appears to be a taxi. But I'd stop for that Maserati...:biggrin:

is that even legal for them to do? and what if you didnt stop, because io wouldnt stop, id keep going until i got home or wherever i had to go...
Without actually going and looking it up, the law probably states that when there are flashing red lights behind you, you must pull over and stop. This car has the lights, so it's probably totally legal.
