Need some opinions on a track car

Use the NSX a few more times to really see if "really" caught the bug or not. If you can purchase a cheap track car that is partially already modified for track use, I would recommend that. I purchased a used MR2 that had a seat, rollbar, and decent brakes installed and did a ton of track events in it after doing 8 or so events in the NSX. After you are comfortable and confident with your skill level, you'll probably know the next progression naturally based on the level of your interest. As for me, I've recently aquired a dedicated race car and am taking the next "hit" off the go-fast-crack pipe.

Trade one of those middle 2 bad boys in your signature on a 91 NSX for daily driving and track events! 2 NSXs are better than one!

I just finished reading the new edition of Sportscar Magazine and they have a great article on going racing for under 10 grand. They make a real point of the fact that you can buy a track car for one heck of a lot less than you can build one. Unless you've got money and time to burn - with no hope of ever seeing a return of the money - buy someone else's broken dream and fine tune it to your dream. And ask anybody - puffing that go-fast crack pipe costs a whole lot more than you would ever think. Not that its not worth it but you should be looking for ways to get the most for your $$$.

In the mean time, drive the NSX.:D
