That is probably the #1 complaint about the engine compartment. Luckily DaliRacing and Science of Speed can take care of that for you.

Will the sunlight affect the rubber components in the engine compartment with the

engine cover off? The UV will at the least cause discoloration and possible deterioration over time. Correct me if I am wrong.

I'm curious as well. How much UV (percentage) gets thru typical auto glass?

I was told that almost all glass (of a reasonable thickness) blocks around 98.0% UV. So glass cuts UV radiation by a factor of ~50 compared to direct exposure. This individual also mentioned that glass that transmits UV efficiently is available (for specialized applications), but is ridiculously expensive.

98% sounds a bit high to me, but what do I know.

Some tinting would probably help in reducing UV rays further... if you don't like the tinted look, go for the lightest shade (you pretty much can't tell it's there.)
