NBA Playoff thread

And I heard an interview with him today saying he's not worried. First he spoils everyone with his play now he basically places like he doesn't give a shit. What does he care anyhow, he's been hinting at going to another city for a few years now...

I thought this article sums it up nicely: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-lebroncavs051210

This isn’t a part-time thing. Winning everything takes a single-minded, obsessive devotion. Michael Jordan had it. Kobe Bryant does, too. They didn’t want to win championships, they had to win them. They needed them for validation and identity and, later, they became moguls. LeBron James is running around recruiting college kids to his marketing company. He picks up the phone, tells them, “This is the King,” and makes his pitch to be represented in his stable. Think Kobe would ever bother with this? Or Michael? Not a chance when they were on the climb, not when they still had a fist free of rings.

Word.

Go Cavs!!!

Holy crap the Cavs are done!

Since I was rooting for them and they are now on vacation...Go Celtics!! (like em better than Magic )

Turbo, I live 2 blocks from the staples center. I Will gladly send bad aura to the Lakers daily for you! I DON'T LIKE THE LAKERS! Though I think I am living in the wrong place to say that...

LOL.... Can you pee on the doors of the Staples Center for me?

That dunk was incredible. So glad that the Cavs lost... not that I care about Boston one bit, but because of the potential of Labron coming to the Bulls. :D

Well he won't be there if everyone spelled his name like you just did! LOL...

That was probably the worst series performance by a league MVP that I've ever watched.

Wow.

Couldn't agree more with this article. As a Cavs fan, the most frustrating part was that he never "manned up" and just admitted he had a bad series. Most of us would accept that easier. The game 5 debacle was him throwing a tantrum when the coach called him out and the players sided with coach Brown. Don't get me wrong, Brown deserves some blame but this series loss is pretty much all Lebron.

I still think he will resign with Cleveland, just because his ego and brand couldn't live with the failure label. I predict another short term contract with and hand picked coach of his choice.

Turbo you know I like the Celts and I'm glad they won, but I see an Orlando vs Phoenix final!

Let me look in my magic 8 ball....

It says....

"Chado is nuts"

It's hard to imagine that he will not get a ring someday. But that day is not now, he's got a lot of growing up to do and needs to eat some humble pie.

Just read the article. Wow, talk about hitting the nail on the head. Watching the game, for a second, I actually felt sorry for Lebron (huge game and playing so poorly). That moment lasted until I actually saw him, on the weakside, bending over and clutching the bottom of his shorts at the knees. C'mon, no sense of urgency, no "give me the ball" attitude.

And his comments after both crap losses. :shakeshead:

I welcome the Lakers and Celtics in the Finals....so we can make Boston cry even more.

You do realize what we did to you last time we met, right? the only reason you won last year was because KG was sitting on the bench in a suit.

We'll see what happens both of them have to make it one more round for a rematch.
