Nav Pod Guys ... putting out the feelers

Just got mine from STMPO. This is the first item I have purchased from STMPO and I must say that the whole process was very professional and done very quickly. I got the part and pulled my pod off the dash. I had used tape on the dash and then built a false bottom onto the Pod. Then it was simply a matter of holding down the Pod to the dash. This has worked for years. My concern was that in an accident would it fly. The other issue was that the tape adhesive might react with the dash material and change its color or something. So I followed the directions which I must say were great. It took all of ten minutes. I ended up bending the fixture a bit to insure that it held down tightly against the center piece. What a great product. Congrats for the effort.

Manny,

Thank you so much for the review. I am glad that STMPO took care of you quickly and profeesioanlly as I am once again out of the country and would have NOT been unable to help.

I am glad that it all worked out for you. I designed the bracket with ease in mind and it sounds like all went easy.

I appreciate the time you took to post your comments.

For anyone else that is looking for a bracket STMPO still has some ready to ship. Please visit http://www.stmpo.com/product.php?pro...cat=258&page=1

Hello all,

As mentioned in the post above, I am unable to make these brackets anymore especially at the original price. This was actually a project for myself that turned into making a limited number of brackets which sold rather quickly.

I have provided Ross with all that he needs to make them (from my design) however I am sure that the cost will be more depending on how many he makes.

I do hope Ross comes through in manufacturing them as I have had nothing but positive feedback from all that have bought them in the past.

Darrin,
Maybe u can squeeze in one more, just one more, small batch for the show?:wink:

I might have one or 2 prototypes in my garage somewhere. I will let you know if I find any.

I am also going to see what it would cost to make another run of these. There might be a minimum order or a significant cost increase in order to get them done. I will check and see.

The big questions is .....

What would be the highest NSXers would be willing to pay for this bracket?

My original price was low and affordable ... however since things have changed on how and where I had them made ... I do not see being able to keep the same pricing.

Good question. I dont know. Ill wait for other input. Your last price, like you said, was very affordable. Another $10-15 more?? I dont know.

I want one I dont care the price.
put me down for one if another batch is made.
I cant use it till i put my other dash in one day.
since I already screwed down the pod to the dash.

let us know.

Shawn

How will we know if new batch are available? Ive been waiting to get one for awhile now.

I'm gonna lay honesty down here...

Maybe start a list so i know how many I will sell out the gate... I would pre-pay and send money via paypal if i needed one... say 60.00 bucks - possibly even a lil thank you note since im not a company calling other companies to mark their parts up..

I go into debt fabricating large quantizes for small orders.. the amount of people that have shown gratitude for this is too short for me to jump all over this order of 3 units.

Let me quanify that...

I won’t get a price per widget worth a dam under a $1000.00 order from anybody.

No water jet company wants their phone to ring with an order of 10... they will just quote me 1000.00.

if I sold 10 of these.. there is 450.00 in revenue by the time i take paypal out and ship them

I think the "I need list" is 3.. But I dont know how many people are demanding a time frame from me.. my answer to them would be.. when it doesn’t cost me as much.

Happy Motoring

wait a minute, so you don't have any in stock? it sounds like you're not even planning on making any and you have them available for order on your website? cause i just made an order on one yesterday assuming it would be in stock ready to ship.

were out of stock

1 - start a list

2 - prepay

3 - show gratitude

then ill get right on it

repeat step 2 and 3

Wow guys, Ross has explained it enough. I understand that some may have been waiting for this part to come out again, but it's not going to happen unless we make it a group effort/group buy. As mentioned, please order it online first, then he will be able to make a "i need list". Ross, thanks for making parts like this and others on the market. Keep up the good work.
