There is a 1997 Berlina Black / Black with a 6sp in the Denver, CO area. The VIN is JH4NA22133VT000313. The car is listed in the Production Numbers Wiki, but it did not show up on your list.

Looks like I fat fingered the VIN for the Black 1997. It should be JH4NA2133VT000313. Can we add this one to the list? I can verify as of Jan 2019 it still exists.

Pretty sure it is CTSC'd and was on eBay a few year back.

On a side note, that silver coupe with the type s wheels is gorgeous. Been searching for a spare set of those wheels in silver. Just missed a set on Yahoo Auctions Japan.

I agree with @NYCNSX. Either the VIN listed for the 2001 Red/Black is wrong or there are more 2001 Red Coupes than the Production Number Wiki reports. This thread has JH4NA21391T000259 and his purchase thread has JH4NA21311T000076. According to the VIN decoder both are valid 2001 VINs.

The one you're thinking of is a 2000.

I have not seen any definitive proof that the Red 2001 Automatic Coupe exists and suspect that the Wiki Color Production Table misidentified the 2001 Red Manual Coupe, calling it an Automatic. I made that change here:

Akbar congrats man! And Type-S wheels to boot! I'm so jealous!

Congrats Akbar, gorgeous car!

Thanks, guys! I guess it's not really "new" anymore, at this point I have had the car for quite some time now but didn't really feel the need to post much about it. Though, my recent outing is good motivation to finally listen to MexiRicer and start a build thread

My brother spotted JH4NA2136XT000180 out in the wild today. Autocross event in Mississippi.

Anybody with info on this car?????

A couple of guys have the info and know where the car is located but they keep that info pretty close to the vest in case it ever goes up for sale. From what I've heard it used to make it out to C&C events but hasn't been seen out in public in a long time.

Hopefully it surfaces one day. I would love to see it in person.

Just bumping this beyond old thread, any other pop up?

It would be great to see one of these on Bring a Trailer or a public auction. Its been awhile since one publicly sold. That makes it hard to establish a value for insurance purposes.

Do NA2 coupe owners have a price it would take them to sell the car? For example, if someone offered you $200,000.00 for your car would you sell? $200k could get you into a newer super car or a less rare NSX with money left over. Or is it a car you would never sell? I ask because at the rate the market is going crazy money today could seem like a deal in five years. It could also level off or go the other direction. Five years ago $100,000 seemed like a crazy number for a coupe and now I think a solid sub 50,000 mile car is easily worth that amount.

I actually feel that even today, not many people know about the NA2 Coupe so prices are still "reasonable".

The more cars are worth the less fun they are to me. BAT is ruining my fun car life.
I completely agree with this. Plus, they are getting harder and more expensive to insure. We are going to reach a point where its too expensive for a lot of current owners to drive them. Or they will be forced to drive them under-insured.

Based on the comment section in BaT, I think enough people know about the Coupes to drive the value up. I am not talking Zanardi levels, but a well sorted coupe with sub 50k miles is easily a low six figure car.

Didn't the last air cooled 911's also really increase after the new water cooled models debuted...how did those values hold after say 10 years....

I'd totally love a non-Zanardi NA2 coupe. Think they look Rad with the black roof, polished 7 spokes and they're rarer than the Z's. Most people don't know they exist, I'd love to see one on BaT.

This McDork I know has the best of both worlds. The 1st gen was meant to have a black roof.

The hottest! Now we just need some center caps, lol

Are your Z/S wheels the ones that need the BBS center caps instead of the Honda/Acura ones?

No mine has "Acura" center caps like the most of the Zanardi Edition press kit photographs. They were off in the pic because I did the unimaginable......tracked it.

Good for you! That's what it's for, after all. ;)

My next project will be a 1994 with a 3.2L 6 Speed.
