i am going for the NA route on my 92
i want to know more about things that i can do before i buy anything for it
first i will buy intake, header and exhaust
then i will do high cams, big throttle body, valve spring and retainer
what i want to know is what kind of computer(ECU) can i put on the car.
i have heard the HKS F-con V pro, Apexi Power FC, and the SOS Chipped ECU, i really want something thats tune on dyno, and i want to get most HP out of all the mods above.
so HKS or Apexi? Do they really work on NA cars?
what do u NA people think?

i will start putting on the stuff above to my car thru the winter, and i hope by summer i will have a good computer to get most hp out of all those mods

the AEM is even more expensive than the HKS f-con and the apexi power fc
so other than the fact that it has to be tune by an hks pro dealer, i kinda believe that the japanese brand are more reliable!

also this is for NA, so will computer help at all?

The F-con is the best out of the ones you have stated. Were in canada are you located. The shop back home in westbrook Maine is actually a certified dealer of HKS and I believe the only one north of like connecticut. IF your interested go to Forperformance.com And yes they also have a dyno

yeah i found it out on hks website too
but do u think using f-con will do anything good the an NA engine?

I can say ive heard only good things about them and that it can only help..... Find out for the rest of us:biggrin:

yeah i will see what deals i can get on the fcon

and one more question, i will have to rebuild my motor, do u guy have a list of things that needs to be change when i open up the engine. i want to rebuild everything since i am taking the engine apart, so what has to be replace? any list and product number?

btw-my car is an 92 and basicly everything is starting to fall apart. just find out the the oil pan gasket is leaking oil, so my goal is to rebulid a Race engine thru the winter, anyone know what to do?

How many miles are on your NSX?

What do you mean by race engine? Everything is falling apart?

I suppose the first step is to determine your budget.

Here's a pretty good primer to get you going:

Regarding the ECU, I wouldn't worry much about this. The ECU we offer is the least expensive of the options you mentioned and by far the easiest to install. We've compared this ECU to a full blown AEM EMS on a car with the listed "Stage 3" NA package and the results were within 1-2 hp.

Good luck with the refresh of your engine.

cheers,
