I am sick of people that do things like this. Two guys came in, ordered a sandwich, and when they got to the register to pay, one of the men pulled out a gun. The other guy pulled a gun out and went behind the sandwich line and told my employees that they were going to kill them if they didn't give all of the money that was in the register. Took them to the back afterwards and frisked both employees for their phones and money. They then told them to open the safe, which neither of them can't. The men got mad and told them they were going to kill them since they couldn't get the safe open. Fortunatlly all they did was put them in the freezer. They got away with some cash and cell phones but at least my employees are okay.

In view of my post, I'm glad your employees escaped any physical harm. I've experienced situations with weapons, and it's something that stays with you (hopefully for a short while). Unfortunately this is a product of our society and it can happen to anyone at anytime. Everyone can be a target no matter what your status in life. It sounds like your emplyees did the right thing and cooperated. Money is replacable.... lives are a different matter.

Sorry to hear that bro.... Glad however that nobody was physically hurt.

In both of my business I had a security system installed that allows me to log in and see my locations in real time on a secure feed. 8 cameras in my furniture store lets me see every foot of my location and can zoom in. Ill PM you the link tomorrow if you are interested. No affiliation, just a happy customer.

time to invest in one of these under the counter:eek:

Im so glad no got hurt. Maybe Mentally, but a great way to feel better is to have hi-res camera's in the store now. This can be a preventive measure that the theives wouldn't want to be recorded, this can give some sense of security.

Goodluck to you, your business and your employees.

Hope the cops get those guys.

And yes, no one got hurt, that is a very good thing.

Take care

Get this, I had a full camera system installed. The theives didn't care, they just climbed up and turned the cameras to the ceiling. While they were in the back they asked the girls to show the them where the tape was. One of the girls pointed to a vcr in back, all the while she knew that there was a DVR recording elsewhere in the store.

BAD IDEA. I can only imagine the outcome of an untrained employee pulling a gun in a crowded store against two armed idiots. Bett er to give the thieves what they want. After all, it's only money, and it's not even theirs.

I agree. You should go with one of these instead:

After all, it's only money, .

WRONG!!!....while I do not support untrained persons carrying/handling guns, the idea that all they are stealing is money is why crime is a major problem.

THEY ARE STEALING OUR SENSE OF SECURITY...all of ours...and while I don't think that people should be killed for this, 20 years braking rocks all day sounds like a good start.

I know you're saying criminals are bad and should serve time for their crimes, but I would not expect anyone to die to save a store owner from losing a few dollars during a robbery.

Usually the DVR should be in a safe, where only the owner has access. As for the cameras there should be a black ball surrounding it.

Even tho there are ways to get around cameras, at least it gives a better sense of security at work, better than none.

Good Luck, Take Care

Nope you should get one of those automatic rader/laser guns that should 50Caliber rounds those that find there own target and do a ID check, etc.

Back in the real world:
I am sorry to hear this.

This would work better. Napalm sticks!

Sorry to hear about the misfortune. If they got close enough to move the camera, I'm sure they got their faces.... hopefully

Not only are their faces on camera (they only saw two of the cameras, I have three) they also touched so many things that the police feel confident that the fingerprints they were able to lift may actually be good enough to incriminate these guys if they catch them.

You're still missing the point...they are not just taking money..they are stealing people's sense of security when going to get a sandwich or going to work at a sandwich shop.

And for that offence I'm not sure what the punishment should be...but I do Know it should be very painful.

It is true that besides the money, your sense of security gets stolen as well.
I hope they catch them soon or maybe even while attemping another robbery.

Sad thing nowadays is, you never know what characters you're dealing with. The ones that just threathen or the ones that are actually capable and willing to kill someone for a few bucks, a phone or even just a sandwhich

An old friend of mine runs a family jewelry store, where a single armed crook tried to rob them. Luckily before the robber got to finish his request while pointing a revolver at his dad, my friend with the help of "SIG Sauer Insurance", delivered a piece of precious .357 Sig metal to the solicitor's chest.

Not saying this is THE solution for every instance, however it sure did work that time

I think there isn't enough brutality and punishment to deter crime anymore in some of the more lawless and uncivilized areas of America. While it is noble for some victims to rationalize their loss as being "only" monetary, it only gives additional incentive for crooks to continue to commit the crimes that they do. Plus, with the short staffing of law enforcement many jurisdictions have around the country, the increased reluctance to continue risky vehicle pursuits due to liabilties, and the court systems inability, at times, to make charges "stick," who wouldn't take a risk if they had nothing to lose?

The number of people in jail is at an all time high...And I am not that smart but It seems pretty obvious to me, that if people in jail had to serve "Hard time" there would be fewer people there.

"Hard time" meaning Busting rocks all day or working on road projects ect ect.

I understand that people in prison have jobs they do and so on, but I am fairly certain that I put in way more hours per week than they do to feed my family...and I didn't rob/kill anyone.

Humans understand the language of pain...make their back's hurt as much as mine does and I have no doubt the prison system will have some more vacancies.
