I've never been to that yet. Is that the one in June or July? If so, it's always a month before the ComicCon down here in San Diego. Maybe I'll finally try and make it in 2003.

Vytas,
Those are some great planes. I've got a small number of Armour 1:100 planes that I need to roll out and display. Not much, maybe like 10 or 15, but enough to "represent" against all my other collections.
biggrin.gif
Pretty much modern day planes like F-14s, AV-8Bs, F/A-18s, a Tornado, and a Flanker. I still need a VF-84 F-14 though.

BTW, why do you have several of the same plane (i.e. six of the #6 Blue Angel Scooter)?

Forgive the black area, my battery died before I could finish the panorama...

The Armour F-14 of VF-84 can be had on Ebay. I've seen it up for auction a few times. Got to keep on lookin'.

I have mostly two of each plane (just prefer to display in pairs). For the Blue Angels, I bought six of each to make the full formation. The only bad thing is the numbers on all the plane are the same. They're not available with individualized numbers.

Updated pictures in my original post and a couple more here.

Well, here are the pics as promised : http://www.geocities.com/msidhu33/pics/toys.html (can't link directly to pics on Geocities dammit)

I still have PLENTY of shelf-space to work with. Thanks to you guys, I just dropped over $200 bucks on some ebbro & kyosho NSX models last night. I think a crack addiction would be cheaper than this!

Akira3d -> Animeigo went through alot of pains to upgrade the video quality on the Macross set from the original films. I actually bought both boxed sets, and ended up selling the Harmony Gold Robotech boxes because I felt the Animeigo transfer was better (plus I'm not a dub fan at all). The Robotech series also edited out a lot of scenes left in the Macross series. Stuff like Rick & Roy checking out chicks and other scenes too "inappropriate" for the US release.

That's a nice collection you got there! I see my favorite Anime

I am very impressed, guys. You have excellent tastes in cars and scale models...very beautiful collections and displays! I used to have a lot more Transformers, Star Trek, Star Wars, Robotech, car and airplane models/toys, but my collection has shrunk as I've grown up *sigh*.

Feel free to hit me up if anybody comes this way, and I'll be glad to show you what I have and share some anime

I'll have to look into Anime Expo as well; I've always wanted to check it out.

Now to update that wish list with what I've seen here

my collection has shrunk as I've grown up *sigh*.

I realize that the majority of my toys were purchased in my 20's (including my NSX). In looking over my desk at work, I can only spot a handful of toys that I got before college (an original die-cast Milleneum Falcon, a Coleco Pac-Man game, a Laser Tag pistol, an Intellivision II, a pair of Transformers...). Wow!

In fact, I never had many Star Wars toys when I was young...and the few I did have, my mom sold at a garage sale!

Maybe my toy collection will shrink when I grow up...but I haven't done that yet

When I hit 15, my industrious mother "donated" my entire collection of Transformers, GI Joe, and Star Wars to other less fortunate kids when I was away at school. She told me I was too old for toys now and the toys would be better off with other poorer children.....I cannot tell you how incensed I got.

Anyhow, dear mom almost fainted when she saw the prices that some of those toys are going for now on ebay......justice at long last!

Nope, we just move onto bigger (and more expensive) toys -- NSXs for example!

Every time I see the original Macross Valkyries selling for over $1,000, I think back to how my mom wouldn't let me spend $50 to get one when they were new. She also thought I was too old for toys...and especially ones that cost that much. Yeah, mothers just don't understand.

Ooooh, I'd love to have 1/1 scale car collection as large as some of the 1/18 scale collections I've seen posted here. Of course, finding place to store / display that many exotic cars would be quite difficult...
biggrin.gif

Of course, my mother doesn't fully understand my car craziness either (she does like my NSX though)...

an early pic of my office from when we first moved into the house...

office.jpg

I have another ROOM in the house where one wall is covered with star wars figures, ships, etc. My office has also undergone a bit of an updating since this pic as well.

Macross: DANG!!! Guys that is some cool STUFF! I used to use the Transformer Skyfire as my wannabe Macross VEritech, I would pretend he was just painted black instead of Red and white. ^_^ Haha! I had a Rick Hunter Action figure once and I think a Minmei and Lisa Hayes as well, but as far as macross mech the best I could get when I was young was an SDF1 model.

These days when I see toys I want I just can't justify the 100$ a pop at fan stores around here.

PS. are those reverse sensors in the back bumper?

Yes, it has been lowered by H&R springs+koni shocks. 17" AMG Monoblock rims. Yes, those are back-up sensors. This is a very good option in Hong Kong because we only back into parking spaces and a lot of parallel parking for street parkings.
