I bought my car with 5-speed with JDM gear ratios. Car now has USDM 6-speed. Feels very much the same except now I have a highway gear. For me this is a huge win because I like to tour in the car.

I'm still so confused... Just don't know what to do! I thought this thread would help but meh. Going to go turbo so I don't know if I should bother with the 6 speed if third gear pulls will be a problem due to excess torque. Only shooting for 400 whp but still worried about torque on freeway downshifts. OTOH I do 90% freeway driving and the revs would be better much lower while cruising with the new exhaust. Aaaaand I shifted a 6speed this weekend- it is buttery smooth. Plus I already bought the type r main shaft to use with a dual disc clutch. The other decision was the type r final drive or stock final gear. Thought that using the stock final drive was going to be my compromise... But I worry about the turbo TQ- probably way more than a SC. Still thinking of selling it but obviously on the fence. What's this E61 and who's got Nick's number?
