I am working on putting together the 2007 events for the NSX club. I came across this show and was wondering if there would be enough interest to organize a coordinated club showing at this event.

Please post responses here so I can get a feel for the level of interest.

Update: 1/25/07 - I contacted the organizer of the event. He is still in the process of putting together the details. I told him that there may be a fwe NSX owners out there that would be interested in entering their cars in the judged car show, but for the most part we would be more interested in the corral. HE asked me how many cars would show up, I told him between 10 and 60 depending on the weather and what else is happening that weekend. I figure we will get a better count when we get closer to June. I will post updates here.

I'm definitely interested in attending this as an organized group.

Tom, keep us updated on your progress if/when you've determined there's enough interest.

Hello Bill,
I have to miss tonight's meeting, I'm at work right now.:frown: But I will catch up with you some other time. Do you see Hoover sometimes? He's in San Ramon too.

Just a reminder. If you are interested in showing your car at the Motoring J Style Show on July 28th, you need to get your application submitted in teh next few weeks. You can find the application here.

If you are interested in the amatuer drifting competition, drop a note to the organizers. [email protected].

I am still working with them on the details for a corral and club activities.

So, block your calendars for July 28th. It is at the Solano County Fairgrounds (Marine World on I-80).

The deadline for submitting applications if you want your car to be judged in the show is 15 May. See links in the above post for the application.

Has anybody signed up to have their car in the show?

Hello everyone,

I apologize for creating a new thread whilst glossing over this existing one. It's great to see the word is out and people are getting excited. Registration for the car show is up and running at www.motoringjstyle.com

Online registration for the drift and rallycross competitions will be up shortly. My new thread has more details regarding the event. Thanks and see you there!

I will be monitoring this thread and the other one to field questions you all may have.

I'm thinking about going, but don't want to be the only NSX out there. Has anyone actually signed up or confirmed going to this event?

Deadline to sign up is tomorrow. Anyone????

I am working with the organizers on putting together an NSX corral. The cost will be $10 per person (max 2 per car and you must drive the NSX) for NSXCA members and $15 per person for non-members.

I will collect the money later, but right now I need to know who is interested in attending so I know how much space to reserve. Please add you name to the list below if you are planning on attending. (Please note, if you put your name on the list I will pester you with PM's when it comes time to pay).

I know this is still a month away, but I just want to bump this up for those who are interested in the corral.

Is this event still happening? Will there be a corral set up for this? We're just 2 weeks away and there hasn't been an update on this. I'm just trying to plan out my weekend for, or around this event. Thanks in advance.

The event is still on. Between the Monterey ALMS event and other things going on, I just did not have the time and energy to do anything with this one. I have the paperwork for the corral, but to set it up, I would have had to collect the entrance fee from everyone in advance and mail it to the organizers. Given that half the NSX owners only decide if they are going to participate in an event the week before, I figured this would have left too many people out.

I think the best thing to do would be to organize to meet somewhere near by and drive in as a group. The corral parking would not have been much different.
