Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

A week ago we ran the "Twisted Sisters" drive in Hill Country, Texas. In a 2021 Honda Passport Elite AWD. Think of it as the Texas equivalent of "Tail of the Dragon."
We drove SW from Fredericksburg TX to Medina, the starting point. About 222 miles for the day. Weather was super. Not much traffic at all. Deer, armadillo, bunnies, snake, roadrunner, donkeys, hundreds of beef cattle, etc.

Stopped early into it for some Texas brisket at the Hog Pen BBQ on FM 336 north of Leakey. (FM = Farm to Market road designation).

A dangerous route, this just one of the caution signs. This was REAL TX Hill Country!

And after three days/nights visiting Fredericksburg we made our 260 mile way up to DFW for NSXPO 2024.

First pic is the dedicated NSX parking lot at Hilton Lakes Grapevine on Thursday PM as the lot began filling up with NSXs.

Current NSXCA President Jhae resided in Grand Rapids, MI, for over ten years - we met him years ago at a Bakers Sunday Cruise-In. He lives in AZ now and is a busy guy, owning a 2022 Type-S as below:

LONG drives to and from, mixed in with her working the F1 COTA race weekend, some touring in the TX Hill Country, and the NSXPO weekend. Met a lot of friendly people and renewed/met new NSX friends. Two other couples from Michigan were present. 2025 NSXPO revealed for Tacoma, WA. No date(s) yet. A new NSXCA Regional Rep elected for our area - Robert R of suburban Clevo. Thanks go out to Jake Cole, our Regional Rep for the last three years.

Our final road trip numbers:

13 states (MI-OH-KY-TN-GA-AL-FL-MS-TX-AR-MO-IL-IN)
19 days
3,885 miles driven.

A few more NSXPO Texas images for some car content 😋

well done to the committee looks like a great event.
anyone ask Jhae why he finds parking so difficult?
Nice score getting Takuma.
Did Watts show?

I drove the sisters last Monday before heading back to Michigan, had a blast for the whole trip.

mmmm sisters....

Drove the 2005 LBBP 6 speed today for 22 miles of enjoyment. GREAT to enjoy rowing the gears again. Might be the last drive for it this 2024.
While I am not a particularly adept NSX driver regarding steering, brakes, other facets I just LOVE the KW Variant 3's on this one.
Purchased 11-2017 this way from fellow NSXPrimer "ChicNSX" in SpaceCoast, FL, she did so many classy mods on it that still delight. (y)➡️➡️🟢

Let me know if you ever want to sell that one.

I'll endeavor to do that, Bob. Keep it up here in Michigan would be desirable.
Never any PPF on it. Unfortunately.
Engine, trans, and clutch are smooth and strong. A different clutch pick-up point versus my original 2004 IOP/org 6 spd.

CQuartz applied circa 2016.
