Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Spotted! 1 pm today, Blue late model headed east on 7 Mile in front of the Chase branch in Northville.....

Some pics!

Anyone interested? I might just show up in the "backup" car for the "show" part. Not sure if I'll have time for the "go".

Some nice sports cars there. Jorligan, where were you? I wanted to press the loud pedal again in your R8 V-10

Doc Tom brought out his F430 Spider:

A mighty nice blue GTR:

And on the way home, with the bulls:

More bull. Forgot to put down the RC control antenna:

Nice pics Neal! I checked out the xceed bbq for a while yesterday.

Spotted again last week near 6 mile and haggerty. Another blue car in the neighborhood?

I will work on getting us West siders together for a Bakers event this summer. Preferably not the last event. We are also going to attempt to put together a TC run as well.

6 Mile and Haggerty, that was most likely me. Coming back from an appt. I am in that area at least one time a week maybe 2. We just got finished giving it a quick wash and then polished up the rims.

Linda Really LOVES those BBS wheels on the Blue NSX Neal

 Thank you kindly, Dave and Linda. I think they look much better on the LBBP than the Imola. For sure, they are a nice change for a while. But if we take any "road trips" gotta switch back to the stockers (fitment/spare tire/where to store/replacement tire considerations).

They would look great on a red 91 that I know of....... :applause: Just sayin'......

Might you consider selling those wheels? I have been looking for HRE 547R wheels for my NSX for almost 2 years.

Bakers July 21st. Anybody?
There's a west Michigan Cars&Coffee group heading out to Bakers this date. Thinking about rounding some of the west side NSX crew and heading over.

That's a possibility, but we're brewing that day so it wouldn't be until at least 5pm I think.

Thats okay, my wife planned a family photo shoot at 3pm that I'm trying to get out of, or peel way back to like noon. :D

As always, Peter is brutally honest. About Acura.

Maybe I should post this above, in the general forum. Wow.

Interesting blog and while I agree with most of it, I guess I walked away asking myself "What was the point of even writing that piece?" Acura has certainly struggled, but the blog reads as if Acura was never really successful. Acura, like most lux brands definitely had its time in the sun. I think they lost a LOT of customer base once they started going with the huge front angle designs in all their models. Also, the TSX though successful in sales, looked too much like some Honda down the street but for $20k more. Meanwhile, the Honda brand started making their cars nicer instead of keeping the upper end stuff over at Acura. I mean, those newer Accords are pretty fricking nice, arguably nicer than some of the Acura fleet. Acura TODAY is better than Acura 5 years ago. At some point, maybe in their next lineup, they will be almost as good as back in the good old days of the Acura Legend, a largely successful car that depreciated financially and socially as soon as people started "ricing" them out. Once that happened, the 2nd hand / re-sale Acura market for their lux lineup took a HUGE hit. It became more favorable and classy to buy the used BMW, Audi, Benz, Lexus. At this point in the game, I don't know who took a bigger hit overall due to just poor design and 2nd hand market. Was it Acura, Lexus, or BMW? All went through suicidal design changes for awhile, although BMW has more than recovered. Meanwhile, Benz remained Benz and we all know what Audi did. All of this is just my opinion of course.

^^^ Jhae, I saw your 'wanted' post for the rear center speaker bulkhead.......and you can borrow ours from the purple car until we get it back on the road.

(maybe get it to you at Baker's, or you could swing by while we're brewing on Sunday???)

^^I was thinking the same. Would like to meet some new people and see some others I have not seen in a long time.

If I'm in town next weekend, I'm down. Hoping my turbo is back from rebuilding by then. :(

Sheesh, how long has your car been gone? You have missed all the driving season so far.
