Laser Jammers

Well, the laser got me today! I wasn't paying attention to my V-1 and I got nailed big time. Oh well! But what I need to know is: Does anyone have experience with a laser jammer? I have decided that I will do anything and pay any amount to win this dogfight with the local law enforcement officials.

Call around, get referrals and try to find a lawyer that will contest the case for you. Around here(seattle), one costs about $300 and there's very high probability that the case gets dismissed. One particular lawyer we use, we don't even have to show up to the hearing.

I don't know about FL, but here in CA laser jammes are illegal. That won't stop me from getting one someday, but it's good to know.
I rarely am able to find something in the law that explicitly states something is illegal, but I found it for laser jammers.

28150. (a) No vehicle shall be equipped with any device that is designed for, or is capable of, jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.

(b) No person shall use, buy, possess, manufacture, sell, or otherwise distribute any device that is designed for jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.

I would assume there is something similar in FL. I'll probably do it anyway. I understand how you feel. I can't stand police officers wasting my time.

Dr Lane, here's what I've done, dont show up for the first court date, go to the clerk and put up your bond money (temporarily) and have your court date reset, and chances are most likely the officer will not show up because its hard for them to keep up with all the reset court dates... I had a 78 in a 55, and the case was dismissed b/c the cop didnt show up. Of course, I was the VERY LAST pERSON to be called out of 180 people... it was worth it to me! I got all the money i had put up.. $100 for the reset, and the $124 for the ticket. got it all back.

I already have a lawyer friend of mine that is on retainer who handles all of my traffic violations. But, I have found out that there is a maximium distance which is allowed for someone to be tagged by laser. I saw the display on the laser gun and I was hit at a distance of 862 feet. I know that my V1 picked it up, but I ignored it. Furthermore, since my right foot seems to be detached from my brainstem, I need to have the latest defense at my disposal which logically is a jammer.
