I know this has been reccomended many times before but I must say it does improve idle and driveability especialy if you use foam(reusable) air filters. The oil for the filter gunks up stuff downwind, fyi.

You can aproach this two ways,1) since you have stated your level of diy(nil) I suggest doing what I do ,give it to a certified acura tech or a trusted independent equivilent.2)Look at the mechanical manual and do a search on this site, and try it yourself, better yet if you know a mechanicly inclined owner have a backyard bbq/tech day and whatch him do it!good luck

I have the K&N filter and it does gunk up the throttle body like mad. I was told the Uni foam filter is a better.

Open cell foam filters are useless. They permit the passage of all kinds of dust and grit.

I wouldn't use them. There's a reason why manufacturers use the filter media that they do.

TDon,

Yes. I'm currently using the stock filter.

I put a K & N filter on my car 400 miles ago ('95 NSX-T with 17,000 miles)...The car wasn't run for 2 wks. When it was restarted, it ran very rough, kinda like the rev limiter was activating. This lasted for a 20 or so miles. I put it away and called the dealer for an appointment. Today it ran NORMAL! Can my throttle body be dirty this quick? Any other possible causes?
Can I use the throttle body cleaner from the auto parts store to clean it?
