I just registered today but Ive been lurking the forums as a guest for some time now. Reading many of your threads about the incredible cars you own (not just the NSX, but several members with Ferraris etc..) then reading the colleges you have attended to get there has inspired me and put things back into perspective. Im 19, very intelligent, and a complete automotive nut. The last year or so I have begun to second guess myself and my goals, questioning if it is worth it or not. Dont know why but reading many of the threads on here has put things back into perspective for me and made me rethink everything. My key goals will be accomplished, partly due to this forum. Thanks everyone, Matt.

P.S. - I should be getting a new car soon, so I just have to decide if I want to go practical (errr somewhat practical) and get a 330CI or buy a used X. Rough decision.

I am glad that this forum help! This place is a gathering of quite a few smart, and patriotic people in this country.
Get the BNW if you have to. However, I drove my NSX to school almost everyday. It was more than entertaining if you know what I mean.

I've got both (94/01), and they are really two different entities. Here is how I see it:

NSX upside = absolute blast to drive, styling, slower depreciation
NSX downside = little space, more upkeep $ (insurance/tires/etc)
If you have the money for the expected maintenance items and inclination to deal with the impracticalities of an NSX it sure would be an absolute blast as a college car. I don't think you'll have many problems with the reliability aside from the typical tires/clutch/belts and hoses.

330Ci upside = fun, more space, well thought out ergonomics
330Ci downside = funky clutch, long term reliability (?)
In as far as a 'practical car' goes, the 330Ci seems the ticket for me. I looked around at maximas, CLs, TLs, 350Zs and on and on. The only thing that even came close in my book was a G35 coupe.

Drive em both, that ought to answer it for you. If I could only keep 1, I'd keep the X and buy a beater.

An edjumakasun iz da bezt ding dat joo kan evar git. Dont sell urselv short. :D

-Good luck and although we can be a source of inspiration, it always up to the individual to make things happen. Everyone here is successful in their own way. It doesn't matter if you are a sanitation engineer or CEO of a company. The one thing we all have in common is our love for cars, and dedication to doing well in life, not necessarily in monetary gains either.
