Good point, jrehner. For those of you that are new to Arizona, please bring lots of sunblock/cover and water (particularly if you plan on driving without the roof on). I will be wearing plenty of SPF50, a comfortable cotton shirt, jean shorts, and some rugged tennis shoes--in case we do a little hiking.
Also, everyone please keep the meeting specifics to yourselves. I will be sending out the details (meeting location, times, etc.) a few days beforehand to everyone by email, in order to avoid attracting the attention of riffraff & law enforcement. There will be no posting here, so you procrastinators need to act ASAP if you want to be included in this drive. I am closing the signup on Monday.
Unfortunately, there's already been an incident where information leaked out to another car club, and they felt put off when I told them about the restrictions for this drive. I don't want to cause any more bad feelings, so keep in mind that due to the radio requirement, parking space/restaurant seating limitations, and NSX prize raffle we will be unable to accomodate any stragglers. Therefore, please don't have 30 of your buddies showing up at the last minute. If you're thinking about bringing along a friend with their own car, please let me know
now.
Finally, regarding the lunch, to make things simpler I will speak to the restaurant where we'll be eating and try to reserve a banquet room to ourselves. I'll also try to work out a deal to include the main course, a drink, and tip for everyone, and would like to collect that amount beforehand in order to avoid any awkwardness when it comes time to pay the bill.
