"JUICED" - New NSX Game! (Screenies & new Movie)

Awesome!!!! Looks like it will be the best car racing since the last game featuring an NSX. :p Just wish these were high-res PC screenshots.

Grr, I hate lack of attention to detail in a renderer. The sun is yellow, the light it casts is yellow, the reflection on the road is yellow, yet the specular reflection on the car is white.

Bad developer! No biscuit!

Not to mention the car models are dirty as hell!!!

I'll still play it though :D

what's with all the under car neon? To much Fast and Furious for these guys. I'd still play it tho. Looks like Need for Speed Underground.

Neon's improve torque; didn't you know that? :D

I don't care what graphical inconsistancies there are -- you can drive/crash/bling-bling an NSX -- You can't beat that! oh wait... you can -- pushing a vette into the racewall with my NSX.... that does beat it. :D :p

I'm still not impressed by this game's graphics

it looks like the modification system might be better than need for speed underground.
I mean, not since Gran Turismo 3 have we seen such dynamic tuning options for your car. Those geniuses who designed the "Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 3" or the compelling "Tires 1, Tires 2, Tires 3"... my god

On a serious note, i am getting somewhat excited over this one, but i wont be holding my breath. For now, Rallisport Challenge 2 has got me hooked

Ah... i now know why you guys are disappointed:

1) you're accustomed to Grand Turismo 3,
2) Screenshots are from PS2. No offense, but it's a bit dated.
3) We haven't seen the game in action.

It's not going to be the next must-have game, but I can't wait to bling bling an NSX. Gonna make it look like Bill's MYNSX. :D

Some other facts about Juiced that are interesting:
- Authentic car physics and damage.
- Online head-to-head play on all platforms. (WOOHOO! NSXprime members can race each other)
- Release Date: Summer 2004

I dont want to make this thread go off-topic, but has anyone seen this AWESOME trailer for the racing game "Burnout 3" ???

<B>
<A HREF="http://www.gamershell.com/download_5494.shtml">BurnOut 3 - Crash & Burn</A></B> 8MB AVI (Requires <A HREF="http://koepi.roeder.goe.net/xvid.shtml">XviD</A>)

The physics of the crashes in this game are unbelievably realistic. Cars disintegrate on impact and glass flies everywhere like sugar. Check it out! Worth the bandwidth.

Saying the PS2 is outdated is an understatement. There are some things it can't do that an N64 could do, albeit more slowly. The lack of color a color multiply blend mode really pisses me off.

Anyway, that Crash 'n' Burn movie was impressive. I did some real-time car deformation stuff at my last job, and while it did come close to what they have there, it wasn't quite as convincing and certainly wasn't fast enough and it didn't have all the debris. I'm impressed.

what's with all the under car neon?

Seen the Japanese car scene lately or any import scene!

Neons were around way before fast and the furious.

Neons are holy goodness, cannot wait for this game, much cheaper to mod than the real thing :D

Hey AJ... finally you post; i was going to PM you to make sure you saw these screenies. Was wondering where you were.

This game is going to be a blast... it may never be a GT3/4, but that's not the point -- us guys like to explore and play about with stuff; that's why modding cars is so popular. And this game allows that. So for the sheer "explore" factor, this game should be fun.

...did i mention it will be fun to plow a vette into a wall and drive off into the sunset with my NSX? :D

Yeah i had slight crisis to deal with, back on track now hopefully :)

I'll be pleased as punch just to be able to virtual mod the nsx and then run corvettes into walls :) Nice 'n cheap!

*Salivating at the prospect*

I think by neon, he was referring to the way over done 2f2f style ground effects that kids are throwing on these days... its a shame really, to disgrace a beautiful nsx with a cheap 20 dollar glowlight.....

anyway, not the Dodge Neon

There are some nice effects in NFS: Underground, but overall I'm not impressed with its graphics.

Burnout 3, however, looks awesome...and it IS on PS2. Too bad the cars aren't based on the real deals (some of the designs are VERY close), but I'll be playing it regardless. I loved Burnout 2.

The lack of color a color multiply blend mode really pisses me off

In what sense?

exactly what i was refering to, overdone to you but not to me. As i said neons have been around long before fast and the furious. Some people like 'em, get over it!

People have been 'disgracing' cars with neons for a long time and I'll be another.:D

I had to go back and play GT3 after this thread :)

I dropped the hell out of my white NSX on the game. I, for one, love clean body kits, but a stock NSX dropped aggressively does look pretty damn smooth. I believe a clean kit added could only make it better...choice of kit would be vital of course.

Akira--

I was going to explain what I didn't like, but then I checked and the details are not the common knowledge I thought they were, so I'd be violating my NDA. Suffice it to say that it's a limiting factor in certain common special effects.

I guess I'd be violating my NDA if I continued this discussion.

First Transformers and now Juiced. I hate the idea of buying a POS like the PS2 just so I can play these games. Where the hell is the XBOX versions?

I stand *ahem*ed!;) Good deal. It looks like I'll be seeing some of you guys on X-box live. My gamer tag has been JuicedNSX since I joined over a year ago. Forsight, eh?

Your *ahem* welcome:p

Yeah, i thought that was pretty freaky too, the juice thing!

Little fact, the game actually started out as title called 'Lamborghini' but the company went under, (called crave? rave?) it was reformed and this game came about using the same design/ideas/code. Lovely, eh:)
