Join the NSX Club of Ontario (NSXCO)?

Yes I'll be in town the weekend of 11-12 and maybe the weekend afterwards.
My availability is sporadic the 11-12, but I can fit it in if the next one doesn't work.

Any members who fall outside the area of your club's primary operation could still have charter status, allowing them the benefits of membership, the newsletter, and equal opportunities to sign up for events, but perhaps no voting status due to the fact, for example, I'm in N.S. and can't get to the regular meetings. Offer this membership at an appropriatly reduced rate, as well as a senior members rate that gives chapter members a vote regardless of where they are. For out-of-towners, firstly they'll make only one trip a year to do Mosport or Tremblant/Trois Riviere, max, and secondly, there can't bee too many that fall into the catagory of outside your proposed area of operation. As a Maritimer (how weird is THAT?!?) if I got a newsletter specifically slanted to Canadian owners, and a heads-up of events I'd be happy. I'll even help/contribute if I can. I think having NSXCNA endorsement is important but not crucial, specifically as the main aim is to I think, deal with things primarily germain to Canadian ownership and localized get-together/ events...right? long sentences

Ok, Red has volunteered his place to have our first meeting this weekend. Primarily because the Exotic Car Lapping day was cancelled. Who else is interested?

At around what time are you guys meeting at Red's House on the 27th ?

Sean asked me to post details for this Saturday's "Executive" Meeting:

I have a map I'd rather not post on the internet, but shall we say 4:pm at my place on Saturday - email (not PM please) me and I'll fire you off a map!

Darn, I didn't realize we were holding the meeting today. I just found out based on Sean's email, and not 100% sure I can make it as my inlaws showed up unnannounced from VA last night. Let me see if I can sneak out for a couple of hours.

Have fun, guys!! I am working away... :frown:

I'm there in spirit!

Fill us in on what is decided upon!

Great to see everyone again! Sean was taking notes, so I'll let him summarize ;) We did put together a number of action items and potential events for this season -- should be fun!

nice sunny day, great get-to-gether...
thanks stu for being a great host again...

Great seeing everyone again.

I bet it was that 01 that Segal had 2 years ago.

There is currently one. Acura on Brandt. We are working to secure some other vendors as well. Red Dragon is working on a few and so is Crack Pipe Dave.

How much of a discount and who do you speak to?

It was a 15% discount, and we think it's in Oakville. They won't touch aftermarket stuff though. That's part of the reason we are looking for another dealership for our club.

Sorry, I was not correct Sean. Here is the email that Bram sent out previously.
Guys, This is the deal the GTA NSX owners are getting from Acura on Brant in Burlington.

In addition, I would like to send off the mail listing to Acura on Brant with your information (i.e. Year / Colour, Name etc).

If you have an issue with privacy, I can remove your name and car from the email list, please let me know in the next couple of days. I would also post this on NSX Prime.

Acura on Brant, have an Acura trained and certified NSX Technician on staff with over 14 years experience. He will be assigned any work that needs to be performed on any NSX in the dealership.

Services:

- All Major NSX service would be performed by the Acura NSX Certified Technician

- Acura on Brant has a low hourly rate; however this rate will be discounted by 10 percent for GTA NSX members that bring their car for service.

- A Loaner car (TL or similar) will be provided to members when their car is in for service. Members must contact either Ray Ash @ (905 333- 4144) or the Service Manager (Andrew Czornoba @ 905 333-4144) at dealership prior to bring in their NSX for service.

- Flat Bed service for an NSX can be arranged through the Acura on Brant

- UDCA Checks on used NSX

Parts:

- Parts will be discounted by 10 percent for GTA NSX members as well as Canadian NSX Prime members.

- Any parts need to perform any major service will be per ordered so there is no delays

- The dealership will keep a detail service log on each NSX.

- Special order for parts can also be accommodated

Others:

- Acura on Brant is willing to host a Show & Shine event in the Spring. The details will be finalized closer to the event date.

- GTA NSXer will be invited to show off their cars at this event.

Hey Guys,

I have spoken to the parts managers at Sherway and Erin MIlls Acura.
I have asked them to quote on what discounts they would be willing to offer to Ontario Nsx club members.
They were both very interested and will be getting back to me in the next day or so.
I made it clear to them that I would be approaching other dealers and that the best quote would ultimately get our bussiness.

I will pop into a couple more dealers in my travels and keep you posted.

Carlos

That's great Carlos. It's nice to have someone else helping out with these things as well. Red Dragon is hooking us up with some aftermarket parts discounts & wheels/rubber and Red is looking into a discount for rubber as well.

As things progress we'll post it! Let us know how it goes.

I've got an inside connection at Sherway -- ie ex-owner of Sherway. Will see if he can talk to the parts+service managers.

Acura Sherway is the biggest rip off dealer I encountered - they wanted to charge me $130 +tax for an oil change and when I asked for a better price, they simply said "NO"

I use Acura 2000 right now and they charge me $50 including taxes for an oil change - they also give me discounts on parts and labor for everything I do there (10-20%) - Also, in my opinion, they are one of the best dealers I encountered when it comes to superior customer service (at least that was my experience)
