I LOVE MY CAR!

Here are the photos of my Imola that I just took possession of. Its a 2002 Imola/Onyx that sat here on NSX Prime for almost 8 months without selling. I don't know why no one saw the ad or didn't buy this car but I'm sure glad I'm the fortunate one who got to.

With 9,378 miles on the odometer she's brand new (in my eyes) and I'm loving every single moment in this car. From the fresh smelling interior to no scrapes, dings, etc. she's my pride and joy and a long term goal turned into reality. I even have the original window sticker in for framing!

Thank you's:

1. Mr. Craig Gorshe of Jody Wilkinson Acura in Salt Lake City for making the deal happen and providing the best customer service an overseas buyer could imagine. You went beyond the call and make the whole transaction smooth as silk.

2. Many thanks to my fiance Laurel for understanding my passion for cars and there aren't many ladies out there who are as understanding as you and to my family and friends who think I'm utterly nuts for buying this car

3. Chris and Team from Science of Speed (JIC Wheels and JIC Suspension)

4. Lud and the NSX Prime community for providing a wealth of information. Both of my NSX's were bought thru this website and it continues to be the best online enthusiast forum for a vehicle IMO.

Here she is and I'm not doing much more to her - next up is my Taitec GT lightweight exhaust. The JIC 05 Force wheels and JIC/SOS suspension went on today. A tad bit too low but I'll raise it a wee bit tomorrow:

Wow Cameron, this car looks stunning! Love the colour, and the fact that the first thing you did to it was a proper set of wheels and suspension (thumbsup).

I also like the NSXCC sticker...cool to think those stickers were once in my den (I was the guy who arranged for them) and now a set is on a car in Dubai!

Enjoy that ride to the fullest! Hope to meet you one day

John

Lookin' good buddy! It's amazing how the calipers stand out so much with the black wheels and even seem to match the car.

I like the pics with the top off the best. Who is that goofball sitting in your car in the 7th picture?

not bad, but I think you would be much happier with a '91 Sebring Silver. In fact, I happen to know someone with a '91 SS who would be willing to trade with you.

Very nice Imola you have there!

Do not raise it, it looks perfect. Just beautifull. Maybe with your black wheels you need a black R at the back:wink:

 Damn Imola is so sexy, I love the look of the all black wheels with that color. Great job!

do you cringe everytime that black rubber thing on the bottom of the front bumper scrapes? i know i did. i removed it and now i never scrape. i am almost exactly as low as yours.

Looks great Jet I loveeee the wheels! And the color of course...

Damn dude your car is sick....

Damn that looks good! Love those wheels! So true, pics of just the wheels don't look nearly as good as on the car.

I love the flat black wheels on this color! Looks fantastic! This is my favorite color 2nd to Black  If and when I go 02+ I will be getting a Imola NSX.

John hope to meet you soon as well! I'll be back in Toronto 3 times during 2009 (one time for my wedding up in Muskoka Country) so I'll look all you NSXCC guys up!

Thanks for the stickers - they make me smile and miss home!

new dog on the block...

Sultan'Cameron... congratz' on the eagle finally landin'!

My only advice/insights (2 key points):

- get the best-of-the-best hidden/integrated LoJack-type GPS-monitoring device installed, at least for during your tenure in Dubai/UAE. I don't mean alarm or theft-deterrence, as a driven/motivated/organized/skilled 'booster will have your car w/ ease if/when they want it. It's more of a matter of where in the world it will end up, and to ward that off before it happens (time is of the essence). TRUST ME on this, bro'!

- Get the entire front-bumper & hood, front-fenders, side-skirts/rocker-panels, door-mirror housing/shells, side intake-vents, and perhaps even rear bumper-valance/skirt clear-bra'd/sealed/etc' before you begin daily-driving/flossin'/etc'.

Don't even get the best/priciest-version, just an acceptable/quality one. Replace it every few years (if driven enough) or whatever interval you wish for. Think of it as a few hundred-dollars of preventive maint'. Why, you ask? Read below...

Imola Orange Pearl is a tricoat paint as you well know, and as you plan to keep it eternally, forever-&-ever, wear-n-tear is inevitable. Also because you wish to enjoy the NSX to the max' (drive it regularly, track/parade, engage in meets/gatherings/group-drives, etc'), which I sincerely applaud you for. The thing is, near-ideal color-matching of your particular color will be the mother of all b1tches, if even possible, if you ever decide to get the front-end/etc' resprayed (of which most NSX'es inevitably get done... sorta like botox/restyline for our cars, w/ age/miles). The best scenario? Never have the need to repaint/respray a part/panel/area, ever. . .

Imola Orange Pearl is very-very difficult to:

(i) color-match a particular part (the right depth/etc', tough-tough!)

(ii) blend-in on surrounding parts/areas (often necessary to have matching panels)

(iii) properly maintain/keep-mint vs. other colors (rock-chips/blemishes literally look like aggrandized pock marks)

Oh yea, be well - be safe, my friend. Please take some H/Q pics (color & B/W) around the iconic architecture, natural scenery, and most of all: the historical-cultural sites!

 Awesome NSX! Bet you couldn't get out of the seat once it finally came huh? Congrats on achieving your goal!

Are you going to do anything else besides the exhaust? Have you considered paint matching your headlight housing? IMO, I think it would complete the exterior (just food for thought).
