Thinking about buying a '97 - "00 NSX but am worried about who to trust. I know certain Acura dealers have "NSX certified" mechanics but due the rarity of these cars in this area I'll bet they don't work on too many. Any suggestions?

Acura of op was good with mine. Also mase and stage6 have good nsx experience.

Hey NetViper,

Saw your car (and 2 other NSX's) at Wildwings yesterday morning. Didn't see anyone hanging out by their cars, sometime around 10:30, so didn't get to talk to anyone. I called Acura of OP last week and got a price for changing out all the hoses (not just engine bay). Parts and labor came to $1286 compared to Science of Speed in Arizona who services the car I'm looking at, $794.50. They admit though that this is a discounted price offered because customer uses their facility. Don't know how difficult the job would be to do myself if I had access to a lift since I have never been underneath an NSX yet. The owner of the car has done all the required services to date and SoS was recommending replacing hoses simply due to age of car - 12 years old.

There are many cars out there much older than that with the original hoses. Hoses failing doesn't get posted about much on prime. I guess for piece of mind maybe it's worth it. For me I just wanted to be sure the timing belt and water pump were done.
