is this anyone here?

I'm glad NSX-tech is OK and cars can be replaced.

As for biobanker -- why don't you drive your car to the States and have it installed there? Drive back with brand new tires and don't declare them. The officer will never look at your tires. Buy something smaller (shirts / car stuff  ) and pay duty on that. No one's the wiser.

That's what I do and have yet to be caught. My $0.02 ... then again ... I live very close to the border to cross-border shopping is a way of life here.

Maybe it's a better idea to PM your reply inspire. If any 5.0 read this, he'd could be informing the borders to check for all nsx'rs in the future (never know). Kinda clearly states an unlawful action :) But glad you're from Ont. so no where near me! But maybe i'm just too paranoid.

Glad to hear your okay NSX-tech but so sad for the car. Oh well get another and put a smile on your face. Accidents happen and that's why we all have insurance.

Because the tires that are on the car have tons left. I daily drive with track rubber, but because Im taking the car 5 hrs away, I cant risk gettting stuck on the rain in my perfectly awesome, but completely bald and not drivable if the road is even moist, RA1s. I want to keep these tires and they dont fit in the NSX trunk!

Plus, the $s too good to worry about saving shipping and duty (which I still dont think Ill have to pay because theyre made in USA). Ill pay shipping of about $90 and tax...and I dont have to waste a day getting them - just an hour.

After 5 weeks the insurance company has now paid out for the car. They had problems determining the value as there was only 3 05 NSX's sold in Canada. They placed the salvage value at $25,000. If your looking for any parts call SGI salvage in Saskatoon. I have purchased another 05 this one will be Siverstone with 2900 miles. Thanks to the Canadian $ this one will cost me alot less. It should arrive just in time to store it for the winter.

Hey Rick, thats good to hear. Glad it worked out for you. Nice colour as well, but I might be biased! Are going to drive this one back or ship it?

I'm having it shipped, I thought you would like the colour. I will admit it was not the colour I was looking for but the mileage and price made it a no brainer. I had found a Red with the same mileage but insurance had not paid out and it sold the next day. After two red ones Silverstone may be a nice change.

Can you get us contact info for the Salvage yard?

I'd love to see if we can get the car and keep it for the Club for when members need parts, etc. - obviously $25k is a "smokin crack" number, but I'm sure after it sits a bit we can deal - can you also give me your insurance adjuster #, I'll call and play "lets make a deal"

I'm sure it will go on the auction block and will go for much less.http://www.sgi.sk.ca/salvage_sales/index.html

It's not listed yet as they just paid out last week.
